Royal Purle Vs Redline Gearbox Oil

as title says, which is best at hiding worn syncros? or are they both sort of on par?

Havn't used the royal purple personally, i went the lightweight shockproof in mine. Definetely improved the gearbox feel. Still a little stiff when cold, but when warmed up, it feals like a new tight box without any crunch or sloppyness. Don't go the superlight weight for a street car though.

I put Royal Purple Max-Gear 75W-90 in my gearbox. My car used to ALWAYS crunch 2nd when cold, and it doesn't any more. However... 4th and 5th at full noise still crunch without rev matching, but luckily I only encounter that when I'm doing more than 150 km/h, and my wage doesn't let me go to the track that often. My gearbox will get a rebuilt one day lol

yeah its for my friends car, crunches third when downshifting, dont know if this'll help or not, but its easier than teaching her to rev match lol

I'd definitely go the redline from all the good things Ive heard about it....although it should be used more as prevention that fix as its really only a bandaid on a worn box until it goes bang anyway.
