Zandvoort = Dead.

Estoril = Dead.

Jerez = Test whore.

Old Hockenhiem = Dead.

Imola = Dead.

Old Kylami = Dead.

Dijon = Dead.

Paul Ricard = Test whore.

What an awesome list of tracks!

It's amazing how much more the old tracks were fast and flowing compared to now largely "stadium" type tracks. Also all the old tracks literally followed the lay of the land. Add to that list Spa from that era, and what about Interlagos? That track around 1979 was corner after corner and seemed to go for ever. Oh and Buenos Airies (spelling?) the list just goes on.

Kylami would be awesome to watch with current F1 cars on it. It's just so flowing.

Buenos Aries :blink:

But yeah, I'd love to see F1 go back to places liek Zandvoort and Old Kylami...

Total Awesomeness!

That's what Im talking about. Love Kylami.

From 11 flat out up the hill for hard braking into 12, and then pedal to the ground all the way down to turn 1!

And according to the Ferrari driver, who lost out to Hamilton by one point, their fellow racers - presumably with the exception of Hamilton's McLaren team-mate - were rooting for him to win.

"Yes, I think so," he told The Guardian when asked if he felt the support of his fellow racers. "I was very happy. They were supporting me because I always respect everybody. I always respect my team and my competitors. I never had problems with anybody."

wow

get off the drugs buddy

you're both jerk off's, you just being less of one doesnt mean anybody is rooting for you champ

something just occurred to me

all this talk about hammo not being able to set up his on whip really plagued him in 07, and to a lesser extend in 08. Riding on the coat tails of Alnoso's technical knowhow

so anyway

now that Mclaren have no experienced drivers to lean on for advice, outside of DLR of course, i tend to think they're really going to struggle this year

they've been accused of sandbagging in the latest tests

but i think hammo on heikki really are a little overwhelmed at the moment

in the hands on nando at the latest tests, he did no quali simulation and still managed to top the sheets

i dont think lewis is going to be the title 09 contender i thought he was going to be

i hope im wrong

id love to see a four way scrap for the title

but i feel theres going to be problems

The degree to which a driver develops a car is much overstated these days. It used to be true, but with so many sensors, so many simulations & so much testing it is no longer the case.

Basically the engineers develop the car & to a very large degree tell the driver how it should be driven.

Which is how things should be really. :banana:

Must have been a bargain price if Mr Brawn could afford it.

Now all he needs to do is sack both of the grandpa drivers, sign Michael Schumacher and another young german (has Vettel got a cousin that can steer?) and Honda will finally earn some points.

Well The Brawn-Mercedes team will need sponsors (since I don't know how Honda got through the last two years with their Earthdreams stuff)...Richard Branson could drop money into the team

but i guess it would piss off ferrari...they would whinge that you can't have two teams with red cars...blah blah blah

But...for me I need to watch the first couple of GP's to get use to the 09 cars. it's so radical in terms of changes and design of the cars.

I reckon it will a be another tight championship year...it's either going to be Hamilton, Massa/Raikkonen (depending who's got more points and team orders later in the year), Alonso and Kubica.

I also think that finally this may be the year the Webber will get his first win...and I really hope that Brawn-Mecerdes team will be competative...I really do feel sorry for Jensen Button.

    • How many of you guys run the synchro os giken set and at what power? Do you then also use the billet plate?  How is it launching with it, any dragy times from 0-60? 60ft?
    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
