Hi im new to this,

I have just taken delivery of a m35 which I have allready changed the radio to a dvd player and run the vidoe input down to the tuner box and have got dvd on screen now. The question is I have 2 cameras fitted on the front of the car which seem to be wired into a box under passenger seat. I also have a remote on the console to turn tv on while driving and then i noticed today that i can control which camera i look out of or even both. I thought that the cameras were for the intelligent cruise control. I wanted to know if these cameras inputs are wired to the vtr input i used for the dvd. There is now picture crossover and i can switch betwwen cameras and dvd using the remote aswell as all the screen diagnostics

Why on earth would anyone want cameras on the front of the car?? Maybe you can drive even if the windscreen is covered with snow, or the driver was too short to see over the dashboard, haha....

Cant help you with the wiring but I doubt that is factory option, which probably means other people will not know much either.

haha.. Factory front cameras are pointed out to either side of the car and are located just behind the headlights on the front quarter panels.

Camera facing forward... could only be for racing vids, no? :(

You serious? I have driven a lexus that had front corner sensors, that make sense for parking but cameras would still be of little use I would have thought!!!

Oh well. I want a M35 now, sounds like there are lots more buttons to play with....

*front cameras = factory option*

*front cameras = factory option*

front camera = dealer fitted option. same as the V35.

the system runs a datastream via the tv tuner and the video is looped via the AUX in. the camera system uses reverse and speed to control the system. when reverse is selected the box you found sends data to the TV to switch to REVERSE camera mode and it bypasses everything else.

inregard to your DVD setup that will work fine as you have it setup . the video will drop out depending on the camera selected but audio will remain.

does that answer your question?

regarding the video lockout thats customer added.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
