hello Just a quick question,

does any 1 know if the R34 neo injectors use an EV1 or EV6 style connector?

lastly can any 1 confirm if a a stock injector has these dimensions

inlet (top) to suit 13.5MM fuel rail (when o ring is compresed)

bottom to suit 14MM intake ( outside OD of Oring =15mm when not installed or compressed)

total length of injector 74.8MM

i am planning to use a siemens deka 610cc injector if all works, as there cheap and commonly used in XR6 turbo's (BF's)

What drop in replacement injectors are there for the Neo engines? Will GTR injectors fit?

Injectors in my stag are pretty close to maxing at 320awhp and a mate has some 550cc gtr style injectors I could get for cheap cheap..

ive been thinking of having a play with these as both are hi impedance, the plugs are differrent and im pretty sure the tops are larger on the XR6 injectors... so not drop in though.

hey the plugs dont really matter too much from what i have noticed as u can buy pigtails to convert or replace completely. yeah these injectors are a 14mm inlet. no idea what the stock inlet is or the total length.

ps i don't wanna pull all the gas injection crap off to get to the petrol 1's untill i really need to.

i mean u can pick up a set of seimens injectors for $450. i read some were that a spacer is all that is needed to fit them, but this doesn't sound correct to me.

Genuine Siemens / Mototron DEKA IV High Impedance Injectors

These injectors flow 60 lbs/hr at 43.5 PSI ( 3 BAR ) and up to 85 lbs/hr at 87 PSI! In addition, these units are high-impedance. Despite the high flow rate, they are linear and controllable at low pulse widths and have been used in ULEV applications! also curious to know which injectors will drop in fit in 34gtt.

Go on any trader websites, they usually tell you, or just ask them.

urtwhistle- my injectors are highflowed to 555cc, there a company in oz that does it, think its German, forgot the name of the joint though :(

I bought new big injectors for my RB30, don't want to do that again for the Stag so that's why I would like to find a DROP IN REPLACEMENT from an OEM application.

Nismo do a drop in replacement for the GT-T. These are 440cc's, running them in my 34 at the moment, got them 2nd hand as well so a couple of hundred off retail. Pays to shop around on the forums :D

I'm trying to figure out if there is an OEM alternative, i.e. like S15 injectors for normal RB25 or RX7 injectors etc etc

I have already spent nearly $1k on injectors for my RB30 and don't want to do that again when I only want to squeeze another ~80hp out of the Neo engine!

?? NISMO - Nissan Motor Sport OEM supplier, so direct fit for R34GT-T.

I'm not trying to pedal anything, just saying that that bloke made a mistake when he said that R34 NISMO injectors were 440cc that's all.

I'm not trying jam them down anyones throat, just trying to help out with some options. :P

i understand what both of you are saying. what i'm trying here is to work a nice cheap simple upgrade. due to R34 injectors being top feed and also the long pencil style it makes upgrades that touch more limited and expensive. If these seimens injectors work with out much trouble it will also mean that FORD MOTOR SPORTS injectors (come in the typhoons), BOSCH 968's (cheap common upgrades for XR6T's) and generally alot of other cheap oem common parts can be thrown in.

some times we need to think out of the box or we forever will just be screwed over with limited choices

    • Hi everyone, I've been wrestling with this for a while now and have been trying to find out the cause. For context, the turbos used are Garrett 2860 -5s, the BOV is a BNR32 HKS SSQV IV kit, the car is currently tuned to ~470 whp on 17.5 psi. The car drives normally, pulls well when it doesn't happen, and I can replicate it fairly easily. It does not sound like turbo shuffle or flutter. The engine has only a thousand or so miles and has had this behavior since it was completed. After my engine was built for my R32 GTR, I noticed that the car now sometimes makes an air discharge sound on what appears to be positive boost pressure that sounds really similar to a BOV. I had thought that it was a BOV issue but even when replacing it with a brand new unit, the sound persisted. It seems like it's coming from the passenger side but I may be mistaken. As in, at partial throttle once I reach positive boost I begin to hear the same psh psh psh psh psh sound like air is leaking somewhere when I keep the throttle in the same position. It most commonly happens in 4th gear at around 3-3.5k RPM and 5th gear around 2.5-3k RPM, which seems to coincide with normal positive boost thresholds. It might be similar to what @Austrian GTR mentioned about his own HKS SSQV. Notable difference would be that when he applies more throttle when it happens, it stops. In my scenario if I apply more throttle during this repeated psh psh psh sound, the cadence of the sound gets faster and louder rather than stopping. If I lift off slightly and apply throttle again, it will normally stop and pull without issue. I've checked all rubber couplers to ensure that they are tight, but have not gotten the opportunity to properly do a pressurized boost leak test. If anyone has had similar experiences or thoughts on what might be the cause, I'd be very keen to hear them.
