It does not matter if you have a 5 kw car or a 500 kw car its all in the name of charity so if your car is not running bring your mums magna down for a run.!

All other donations are welcome.

Clapped out commos, shit boxes, rollers, lambos, whatever... Mop on hand to clean mess smile.gif

I'm also making an executive decision that for $10 anyone can put their pushbike on... Seems appropriate for they boys.

Anyone know a butcher to donate some meat for a BBQ we can raise some funds with that too!

We can dyno motorbikes, electric wheel chairs, pit bikes, pocket bikes, ride on law mowers.. whatever you've got... I DARE YOU!

well I went along to this.

good turn out, was going to be a very late night for some I believe.

good to meet some of the other SAU folk there.

cheers

M

Good to see ya mate.

I've only just walked in the door, and there would have been at least 100 people still there

280rwkw not bad for 15psi :D

And Lee... bonnet down next time, it sounds better... mmm 410rwkw is love

Was a fairly cold nite.

i left about 2am. and they had maybe 2 cars to go. i think they raised nearly 3000dollars. Well done all that attended.

Cept for the tomato truck driver being a total ass bag.

Who from SAU were there?

How many KW did you guys get

I saw Ash and T51R.

I got a pretty bad 87rwkw :D R34 - NA - Auto

Ah that was your car.

Yeah, I was there and my car pushed out 72.6rwkw, I'm happy with that. :P

HAHA thanks Ash :)

Yeah big thanks and well done to Sam last night was a great night and nearly 3g for a good cause. Well done

just maybe next time to the muppets that want to show everyone there cars can "rip a skid" can maybe go some where else and be heros hey!

That'll never happen, we were out west man. That's all that goes on out there :)

Ill be in touch about a drive once mine is sorted, i wanna see just how laggy yours is lol

I was surprised i made that much power, but then 15psi explained that... seems i 'found' some, cause it was 12psi last time i picked it up! must be ZEE GERMANS!

Your car suprised the shit out of me Ash. It was so quiet when it ramped up I thought something may have been wrong but then it flashed up over 280rwkw, very impressive. What size pipes you end up running? 3.25?

Oh, and a volunteer on the night had there gps stolen out his car. Theres always one.......

Surprised me too, as its just running off actuators now so its found boost from somewhere, maybe hoses have stretched a tad.

Stock dumps mate, to custom front pipes (NFI on the size) and then 3.5" all the way from there.

Thats the joy of it, its SO damn quiet... but i still landed an EPA though which just makes one sad... its loud under load but quiet just around town/traffic etc.

Your car hasnt run in a while?

I was wondering as your first run it blew an absolute punt load of fuel/black stuff out the rear, so much i couldnt see the people on the other side of the roller door :)

2nd run was a lot cleaner though.

fken people stealing shit, as you said, always one fk bag muppet :)

my 3" turbo back is ~86db at the test RPM, and 88.2 if i rev the crap out of it and make it pop :)

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
