$900 if <$80k

$600 if <$90k

$250 if <$100k.

I won't get any of this money, and I think it's a complete waste of taxpayers money, and won't create any additional jobs. It should be targetted at the people who need it, and at job creation, rather than a handout to all.

Super, I don't get f**k all.

hello

the idea of the package is to encourage people to keep spending $

if people stop spending money, businesses stop making profit, they dont need staff, so they sack them and close down

this drives up un-employment and in turn mangles the economy. if people go and spend this package on plasma tvs, video games, ps3s etc

then this will drive sales for jb hifi etc and they can continue keeping the sales staff on (as an example) - otherwise, they would likely cut down sales staff, as no one is buying

if you can encourage people to spend a bit more then this is a good thing

sure its not a magic silver bullet to fix the economy in five minutes, but certainly a good step and better sitting on their asses, and in 9 months time going, ah yeah well we said the economy was going to be shagged. it will still be shagged, its just a small boost will help invigerate it a bit

and having a wah that you don't get f**k all, is simply the goverment saying, well you earn enough so you don't really need it

there are other people who would benefit from it more, so they can't service everyone, so they have to cap it out somewhere

so dont have a wah

the best thing you can do with this the package when you recieve it (if you do) is to spend it whatever you like locally

so spend it on your car, buy shopping stuff, go out to local restuarants etc and spend it

sure put it on your house mortage too if you like, but it would be better spent into local businesses if you can

and another good thing you can do, is educate your friends on what its purpose is and recommend they spend it on local business and retail etc

ie: dont do wog tactics and keep it under the bed for a rainy day, spend it, or put it in a bank acct if you really want to keep it

at least the bank will beenfit from the cash injection

i think mine will be spent on doing my 200,000 service and timing belt

its going straight in the bank for sure, cant risk loosing it at this stage really. better in the bank than some one elses lol

if its a risk loosing it, what would you have done if you didn't get it?

or if you aren't elligable for example ?

be careful and try not to "rely" on it, just in case

but its good to have an idea what to spend it on, nothing wrong with that

f**kers, i dont get it either, only because i have not done my tax return for the last 6 or 7 years, still paying tax though, dirty f**kers.

EDIT, just checked the web site, gotta do my tax before june and im all good w00h00

That's the sensible thing to do with money, but it's not going to stimulate the economy, hence the reason giving it to most people is a waste of good money.

paulr33, I understand the idea behind the handout, however I don't believe that this small amount of money to many individual's is really going to do much in the way of stimulating the economy. I'd much rather the money went into capital works projects, where jobs will be created and the Australian people will get somethign worthwhile at the end of it.

well they are doing both, its not all just going to people

they have some infrastructure stuff going on as well

i think both is a good idea

Yes, they are doing both, but the handout to individuals is a waste of money (billions of $), and seems more like a vote buying exercise than anything. Sure, who doesn't like getting given money, but $900 doesn't go far if your out of work.

I dont think its aimed at the unemployed, the whole idea is for people to spend it on goods and services, therefore keeping business's trading, keeping people in jobs and maybe even create enough work to make new jobs, which is also the aim of all the new projects the government is doing now, this is more about keeping the economy from sliding into a recession and maybe even spark some growth so that people who have lost there jobs can find new ones.

even if the money went straight into the banks, it still creates more liquidity within the banks, and they can lend more money to people who want to build houses, start a business etc..

liquidity in Americas financial system is what started this whole mess anyway, greedy bastards kept lending money to people who don't even have a job

i think its a good idea by the government, they have fast tracked some infrastructure projects as well,

    • I ordered a GSP Front R/H Axle from here - https://justjap.com/products/gsp-premium-front-driveshaft-r-h-nissan-r32-r33-r34-skyline-gtr-stagea-4wd#description It lasted around a year before one of the boots blew out. I'm lowered, but I have GKTech roll center adjusters. One year seems a little premature. I think I'm going to spend the extra money on an OEM cv axle this time. This website - https://tfaspeed.com/collections/nissan-stagea-wgnc34-x-four-parts/products/nissan-stagea-awc34-260rs-rb26-right-front-axle-drive-assembly Makes it sound like the readily available OEM CV axle will only fit 11.1999 Stagea and up (mine is a 2.1997 S1). The JustJap listing didn't mention any years or anything for the GSP axle. Amayama shows '11.1999' and up as well for that part number. As well as 'plastic boot type'. See attached picture. So I guess my question is, does that axle (39100-23U60) really only fit S2 Stagea? It's the front driver side. If it does, I'd love to buy that instead of rolling the dice on another GSP. I've found that OEM one cheaper here: https://www.partsfornissans.com/oem-parts/nismo-jdm-r32-r33-r34-skyline-gtr-r32-gts4-right-front-axle-3910023u60 and here https://www.nissanparts.cc/oem-parts/nismo-shaft-ft-drive-3910023u60 Just a little confused because the JapSpeed listing for the GSP front driver axle doesn't mention any specific years or anything and it fit my S1 Stagea fine. So will 39100-23U60 fit my S1 Stagea even though technically it says '11.1999' and up? What would have changed? Thanks.
    • Thanks for the info. The only "Issue" I've had with the shifter is I always found the throw between 4th and 6th gear too close. I'm always worried to shift into 4th accidently and sending my motor to the moon. Adam LZ recently came out with a video and stated Serialnine revised their shifters to correct this and will change all the revised parts for 150$. Strangely enough, I contacted Serialnine right after and they denied it and said it's bullshit. I found that strange as he's a distributer. I'll keep this forum post updated on that saga.
    • Yep that is correct. It allows you to adjust the short throw range from what I can tell
    • Car has been running great, I've put about 300km's of break in time on it. First thing that stands out with properly sealing rings is no more noticeable crankcase smell coming out of my catch can. This may seem insignificant, but the constant smell while driving around was infuriating. It's also nice to see my oil level remain stable. Two new issues have developed that I only noticed this weekend though. There's a very noticeable driveline vibration past 100kmh. I only noticed it now as I've been babying it under 100kmh in the backroads. This comes as no surprise as I'm running a one-piece shaft, and I paid zero attention to my driveshaft angle when I put everything back in. I also have a fair bit of voltage drop on hot starts. The starter audibly is forcing. No issues on cold start though. I must not have removed all the paint under my main block ground during assembly. I'll try and take care of both those issues this week once the kids are asleep.  I also received all the parts I was missing for my direct port setup. I will hopefully have pictures of that up soon. I'm hoping to get back on the dyno the week of June 30th as I'll be on vacation. I'm confident I should be able to make north of 500rwkw on pump gas and WMI. I'll go back again later this summer with E98, but I want to confirm my ethanol content sensor is working properly first. I've never seen it read anything but 11%. This makes sense for our 10% ethanol content pump gas here, but I would expect the occasional movement between fill ups.
    • 75% complete. Will now need to get a new axle with 5x114.3 hubs and then figure out how to customize some mudguards for it once the wheels are on.
