I'm strongly sonsidering putting an RB25 Det into my Datsun Syyline. What I want to know is what 1/4 mile times do you do in a stock or semi stock ( maybe turbo upgrade) skyline with RB25DET.

Also what is the kerb weight of your car, mine being 1260 kg I'm trying to get an idea of power to weight ratio. Cheers

hay mate .. i done 13.9 with my r33 .. full zorst , pod , cooler and a clutch .....

donno if thats good or not but i was happy ...

now im thinknig of getting a hi-flow turbo , safc and i got a bosch fuel pump so should do a lil better ..

The quickest time I've seen with a completely stock R33 is 13.4, and I've seen high 12's with mods but stock turbo. Weight of an R33 is around 1470kgs, so with lighter weight you could expect better results, assuming you can get traction etc.

Where did you see it do a 13.4? R34 GTR's only do a 13.7 pass or so it says...

Almost stock R32 GTR's have done high 12's, so who's driving the R34

It's all about 60' times, if you can get your car to hook up properly with a sub 2.0 60', then your in with a shot of a decent ET. The MPH on a stock Skyline is pretty low.

Also states on Imports 101 that they only do a 13.7, I know these are only rough figures and its from the internet so probably not dead right but eh...

Yeh the GTR should be a low 13, I did a 13.765 with catback and a pod filter in the gts-t

Old stock R33 fuel pumps will start to fail,

they wont make fuel pressure,

your car will run lean,

and you will get more power

and u will run a mid 13

and ur engine will 'explodey poos

I dunno what engine is in ur datto at the moment, but the RB25 is probably going to be heavier?

You should be right for a low 13 second pass if you did the swap (stock engine/turbo with exhaust)

I'd be trying to get weights for your current eng/trans and also rb25det, trans, rad, fans, loom ect ect ect.

Just a guess, but the rb setup might weigh a tad or 10 more, giving you around the same curb weight or more than the r33.

Still it'd be a fun-different thing when finished.

I think the R33 are 1360kg.

From factory is was quoted 0-400 = 14.4.

No offence but how would a completely stock R33 would run 13.4?

actually,my nephew done the 13.3 when skyryan went down the drags a few weeks ago. he had the white r33 gtst with black mags. would have only had 200 rwhp - 220 rwhp. depends on suspension and 60" times. i had 290hp and could'nt crack a 13. skylines a 1490kg manual and 1520 auto.

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
