Tangents
Does it have to have the aero kit? it would be a alot better if it did... save me the hassle of finding one on IM or Yahoo yeah aero kits are hard enough to find, with sunroofs will be even harder! It seems that way... Just asking because Northshore have a white RSfourV with sunroof, for sale... but no aero kit I like the stock tv/sat nav tho... I'm just going to call them up and see what they can find in Japan... this will surely cost me more i think..... zei20l
im thinking the ECUs are made by unisia not soley by hitachi. which is why mine doesnt have a sticker, its printed on. now, all the ones ive found on IM have stickers, being that they are the DD variety of engine. this is the first VQ engine with turbo (its a VQ30DET however) that doesnt have a sticker, its printed on the metal like mine! http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=h...20VQ30DET%20CPU i wonder were the DET models quite rare over there - compared to the amount of DE(DD) models. but as they all HAVE to be DET out here thats all we have seen.......... Bis-e Bee
The alternative to an E-Manage Ultimate, an ECU remap may be in the pipeline! Courtesy of Cam (iamhe77) we have located a suitable ECU for testing and development. Once we have hold of this ECU I may need to call on people willing to go in and have their M35 4wd dyno tested and let the guys at Silverwater Automotive Service do their business. It's going to cost roughly between $1200 - $1400 for the initial vehicle mapping but if you do further mods and require a retune the price is greatly reduced the second visit. I would like to be the first one to do it but I've got to watch money at the moment as I'm out of work with a job in the pipeline that should have come through weeks ago. Hopefully I'll be back at work soon but until then I can't outlay that money. When I start working though the Stagea will be commuting about 150km a day so I'll be in a hurry for better fuel efficiency If anyone else wants to be on the leading edge of this technology, let me know!! I know quiet a few of you are interested in the outcome of the initial testing and development, so we'll need to make sure everything is posted up and all information in provided in a thread. zei20l
thanks for finding that Cam! i believe im the highest bidder lol anyway, if this pans out to be workable and not a bad price, then ill move the emanage and get a remap. but if its too exy - and IMO 1200-1400 is too expensive - then ill stick to the emanage.... Way to go, thanks Iain I agree that 1200-1400 is expensive but it depends on the outcomes IMO, if the tune via a remap can get better results than a piggyback I'm all for it, I just need to win the lottery Also bare in mind that prices includes 4wd dyno runs etc etc to get the best tune for the vehicle being remapped, once they have done a test we'll have more of an indication of the price range and benefits etc. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/266854-m35-emanage-ultimate/page/5/#findComment-4640101 Share on other sites
Bis-e Bee
I just came across this one on a gogglie search http://translate.google.com.au/translate?h...l%3Den%26sa%3DG This one has a slightly different number though, A56-R12 L31 2521, would be interesting to know what all the numbers mean Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/266854-m35-emanage-ultimate/page/5/#findComment-4640148 Share on other sites
zei20l
i rekon its the ecu serial number........ Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/266854-m35-emanage-ultimate/page/5/#findComment-4640187 Share on other sites
Bis-e Bee
Taking that into consideration the important numbers are A56-R12 ? The L31 2521 is the serial number? Might explain why there is a bolder version of A56-R12 at the top of the printing on the left-hand side. Bis-e Bee
Someone got the ECU They started jumping it up and took it from $39 to $104 AUD, someone (not sure if it was Iain) was competing with them via Import Monster but alas the other person got it Oh well, the search for a test ECU resumes.
