I'd like to see more of that rail. they bend in really strange spots and that one would need a lot of straightening. also those with fast do a LF hit parts list - there's $8k in damaged bits there.

other thing as well - you would need a chassis book to straighten it properly. none of that would be anywhere near spec.

for me I'd buy it, strip it and then cut it up. the air bags/seats alone to a importer are worth $4k easy

other things I noted - check engine light is on as is the 4wd light.

somethigs amiss there. looking at the engine cover what ever he's hit has destroyed that as well. it wouldnt surprise me if theres a few things under that damaged as well.

might be worth it for whats left, engine and gearbox also..........

im sure a shit load of us are keeping an eye on it now >_<

Yeah but I think everyone should just look away now....no one show any interest OK :(

Seriously though I agree, buy it and strip some bits off and sell the rest. No way I'dbe looking at fixing it - Mega bucks! The insurer already wrote it off as having what, $20,000 + worth of damage?

Hopefully someone doesn't get suckered into spending the $10,000 he says he wants and then they pop up on SAU telling people about the bargain he bought from this nice bloke and was also told parts are easy to source.

If it is so easy why doesn't he repair it himself........... Well since the front end hit has caused so much damage and the parts are not available except new from Nissan Ex Japan it isn't worth the trouble.

Dude thats selling it seems like a bit of a cowboy but could be interestring to see how much it goes for.

The exhaust would be handy. . . I reckon. .

I'm suprised that the insurer let him keep it if they paid it out, normally it goes to auction house to recover their deductibles

Looks a lot worse than he is letting on, hopefully someone doesn't get suckered into thinking it's going to cheap and easy to repair and get running 100%.

I wonder if this was the accident at the intersection in the city area that someone seen a month or 2 back.

It's a shame it was smashed up, looks like a nice M35 *sheds a tear*

If he doesn't sell it maybe we need to consider a group buy offer, I think $10,000 is a little over the top given the fact that as Chris pointed out there could be up to $8k in damage based on the FAST collision information.

You would also have to assume the airbags deployed? But they may have already been fixed.

Dude thats selling it seems like a bit of a cowboy but could be interestring to see how much it goes for.

Thanks for posting that Chris!

I will be buying it soon... Just kidding.

I could understand someone grabbing it if it had the black leather interior and pop up screen etc, but with the exception of the head unit there is nothing in there that is worth buying.

I understand what Chris (Rogers) is saying about the engine cover cracked, but the engine looks like it has taken no damage externally (who knows what has gone on internally though) and it may have been the way the bonnet bent that busted the cover.

The exhaust may be the only thing worth salvaging unless you own a black RS in which case the skirts and rear bar would be good.

Having spewed all that, if anyone on here does buy it, I will put up my hand for the foot rest and the plastic weather shields that go along the bottom of the doors! :P

Doubt is will be able to re-registered though.

Since it has been written off and looking at the angle of impact, I would say that the chassis has been bent.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
