oh and i managed to roll a car for the first time (my N1 gtr) on saturday on the trial mountain track. twice in the 1 lap, LOL. first time was on the very first corner (trying to be a smart arse and weaving between cars off the start line rather than going around the outside). the second time was at the last corner of the track. you come down the hill and have the chicane before the start line. i cut the right hand bend a little bit too much and flipped it. still ended up winning the race easily though, LOL.

my B-spec drivers are still retarded... as you said, no taking the inside line, etc..

my best AI guy is now level 25, so he doesn't brake stupidly early for corners anymore and takes pretty neat lines- But he's still prone to overtaking on the long side a fair bit

I guess by the time he gets to around lev 30, he'll be better than me :'|

erm..... i do that sometimes...... lol

oh and i saw another mildy amusing name. T. Mckinney. i just pretended that it was Todd Mckinney, that silly douche from dancing with the stars, and ran him off the road and into a wall at the first corner.

Isn't the Zonda a famed premium super detail car?

its funny how forza fanboys such as this guy seem to be more interested in trying to pick apart GT5 than actually playing their precious forza.

whatever makes you feel a little better about the forza series being owned several times over in sales bro..

If I cared about sales I'd buy Black Ops. GT5 took 12 days to get to 5.5M, Black Ops sold 7 Million copies....on day 1. I still hate it.

I don't play Forza 3 that much anymore. I played it a fair bit when it was new though, over a year ago.

and from what i see of that pic, what it says is "GT5 have missed out the tiniest little detail on the zonda, but the actual graphics are a buttload better"

the initials are randomly put with a bunch of surnames from a list...some of the surnames are typos on purpose I would think, like Weber I saw.

still haven't tried online yet, think I want to get all the gold licences :)

my bro and i have come to the relisation that once you hit endurance races you will have too race them over and over and over to reach the 24h races..

we are both around the same stage on level 23 and finished every a spec race we have unlocked as well as every specail event besides some of the AMG challenegs, so you will need to re do races a lot.

online races are so good when there are fair restrictions and if only there were exp points for online races then this problem would be fixed..

i dont really mind doing races over and over but by looking at the exp points needed to reach those higher levels you will need to re do some of those endurance races like 50 times

yea it does get fkn repetitive doing the same races all the time. does anyone know if you get xp for online races? that would at least help a little bit

I'm wondering whether there may be updates down the track with extra events in it. Wouldn't suprise me if there were

yea thats the beauty of the next gen consoles with online access the creators can just change the game however they like by releasing patches/expansions via dlc and essentially everyone has access to it.

rather than back in ps2 days when you bought a new game and that was that

I know it probably wont happen, but I will be stoked if they decide to bring Spa Francorchamps as a track in a download eventually

Highly doubt it will happen but you never know. Should have been in the game from the beginning, I love the flow of the track

to be honest, i can see gt5 seeing the ps3 through until the end. they really have no need to create a whole new game from scratch when they can just keep adding things to this one. i mean they cant really take the graphics any further the framerate suffers in parts as it is.

and i've just gone a whole day without playing gt5 for the first time since release.. it feels wierd

currently doing my first B-spec Mx-5 4hr event with 4 Bobs- my 2 good guys, and two aggro n00bs I'm training. gunna win this by over 10+ laps to 2nd place regardless. gotta do it 2 more times to get to L26.

and in the mean time, I've figured out to get from level 30 to level 32 (which unlocks the Nür 4h) will take over 1.8 million xp- which means I'll have to run the Suzuka 1000 kay event at least 6 times (at ~6 hours a pop)

lucky my PS3's only a few months old! no one could ever complain GT5 is 'easy to finish'...

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
