um no idea didn't who ever got this off the ground give you forms

Cara initiated it, however the forms were not available for quite some time. No harm in pointing FAQ's to actual solutions rather than wonder in vain as to what was not done.

Ben don't be like that i'm trying to be enthused @ least the Current events coordinators wont start an even they cant finish

In this case, they're finishing something they didn't start ;)

I've got copies of the entry form for those who do not have a printer :D you can hit me up Friday night for one at Vilis.

As mentioned, $20 discount for any SAU-SA member ... so its $50. Even better, join SAU-SA now if you're not a member and entering the EHP show and get $20 discount anyway. :D

As Steve said, lets show Adelaide the quality of cars the SAU community can show off.

Once again, you've totally missed my point. Rather than pointing fingers, why cant you just ignore it and move along without taking digs at anyone? Thats 2 posts now where you've felt the need to point out that the previous occupant of your position didn't complete the planning for the event.

Keep it to whats relevant and ignore the past eh?

  • 2 weeks later...

should be an awesome weekend, get out there and show adelaide who SAU:SA are....

i have it on good authority that there is going to be a locally built 34 GTT there that should put out close to 1200hp at the rear wheels  they just have to finish it in time, you should see the quality of work on this thing.....and the size of the intercooler

So Troy/Anthony/Reuben - any of yous sent off your forms yet? I dont want to enter the Saturday by myself lol
We have 4 cars forms atm but we need more cars for both parts of the show (inside & out ) So please can we have your names if you are going inside or outside on the Sunday

I've done the Autosalon thing, which was a cool experience, but Extreme Horsepower is probably more my scene. I'd be happy enough to enter my car as part of the SAU display inside. If you already have my model covered no problem, I'll just come along as a spectator.

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
