Definately agree it's an emotional issue. I love my skyline and the only reason I'll be selling it is to upgrade. Therefore I'd want enough to go near buying a R34 GTR before I'd let it go :)

So in other words I'll be keeping it until I save enough for the GTR!

enough to be able to go out and buy another one and do all the same mods to it, although in the case of the missus pulsar, i think it would probably take between 20k (enough to buy a very nice 180sx) and 80k or so, enough to buy an evo 10, LOL.

This thread is useless without pics.

If I were to sell...which I am not I would put mine on the market for $25000.

Damn - that's a nice R32, wih the R34 engine, correct, or its just a paint job on the cover.

25K you reckon - hmmmm.

gotta be realistic with these things. i think a main reason for selling is the thing starts costing you through your teeth to maintain/up keep. highly modified ones are the real money pits. the 97 GTR series III is a glamour GTR. they look unreal. no wonder you were offered money on the spot.

hey guys and girls,

yesterday i was waiting in the car park while my my girlfriend was doing the shopping and i was approached by a gentleman probably in his mid 40's named john patterson. (if your on here mate - "g'day to you young fella!" haha).

anyway, john advised he couldnt help but notice my car and advised "it is the cleanest, all original, unmolestered GTR i have ever seen". john then continued to speak and offered me $33,000 for my car that afternoon. an offer which i refused. his offer than turned to $34,000 and then to $35,500. these offers which were also refused. :ermm: john left on good terms in his black 7 series beamer leaving me his number if i was to change my mind.

my car is not for sale, it took me too long to find her. and i only know of one other duplicate which is sitting in the nissan gallery. but it got me thinking - if your cars not for sale, what sort of money would it take for YOU to give in and sell?

cheers! :)

So now that you have decided you want to sell her, why not call the guy and say 40g's and she's yours?

was my first instinct, called him back the day i started thinking about it and he had already purchased another car so didnt have the funds. he was even more depressed then i was

but i go up and down with it - sometimes i just want to sell it and get a bayside blue 34 GTR, but then i everytime i drive it and think of all the hard work, money and effort i have put into making it what it is - i dotn want to have to start all over again.

Ahhhh thats sucks mate.

Oh well, maybe you SHOULD keep it, its not like theres alot of them around.

Im happy to own mine because its a mint 40th anniversary, but a GTR V-Spec? :P:):D keeeeep it lol its rarer than a bayside 34.......isnt it?

had someone ask me at the traffic lights if it was for sale - had someone leave a note on my car with a mobile asking if it was for sale...

just don't know if i could, like KR4-GTR i have a rare Skyline, well rare in terms of modifications (believe to be the only genuine East Bear kitted GT-T in country) so to me that makes it a bit special, but to someone who doesn't know about it, it's going to mean squat...

soooo, sooo tempted by a R34 GTR but like others, when you have poured $$ and time/effort into your car, it's hard to move on, even if it's an upgrade. Although, with my car at 290rwkw, i'd have to play with the GTR a bit to at least start at the same point :starwars:

PSI_GTSII, what a stunning car mate!!! Got anymore pics of the interior??

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
