Meet Studley:

post-39451-1248914645_thumb.jpg

The advantages:

Lasts for ages (this one has been going for a good 13 years or so).

Keeps your feet/lap warm in winter

Hours of fun

Keeps your place of residence rodent (and reptile) free

Very soft and cuddly

Self-cleaning

The drawbacks:

Very expensive to purchase/service

Constant maintenance/feeding costs

Very annoying when it decides it wants to play NOW...... at 3am

Generally leaves more crap on the car than it takes off - muddy footprints/white fuzz

Stinks when wet

Generally necessitates first aid for operator, when used as a chamois.

Tries to trip you down the stairs at every opportunity

Cannot be wrung out like a regular chamois (fights like a demon!)

Regularly bullies you out of your own bed

I just walked outside a few minutes ago, and thought it would make a good pic! I love that cat!

Sorry, can't agree with your love of them.

I don't have all the headaches on maintaining a cat but I still get all the scratch marks, shit and all the downside of my neighbours fur ball.

I am sure they are nice for the owners, just I choose not to own one but have to put up with all their crap.

I am sure you would feel the same way if I sent my children around to your place each day to go to the toilet in your yard, sleep on your car and leave muddy foot prints up the bonnet (along with the dents they would make LOL).

There, my rant over.

:pirate:

might have to change my saying "The only good cat is a dead cat"

I have a street full of these useful furry shits.....will stop shooting them with the BB gun now.

Anybody want a freshly caught Chamois....you pay for shipping!!! see pic for shipping dimensions....lol

we got 4 cats.. and yeah.. with a black car, not so cool.

they seem to use the cars as a vantage point to keep an eye on their surroundings.

In WA so much of the " garden " is sand..so cat paws +sand = bad for the paint!

its funny when you see other peoples cars with cat paw prints over em !

oh and you ever notice the cat prints on the windsreen where they have lost their footing?

cats do not have ABS

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
