Ive decided to hold off on Hp mods for a while now and concentrate on the interior to a degree. To say it was in a poor state is an understatement, the dash etc is all it top condiction but the floor mats are very worn and there is a lot of dirt and general mess in the car. Here is a few photos

I then decided to make a few purchases that will hopefully make the interior look cleaner.

First purchase was Bride Low Max seats & Rails to suit

Firs order of business was removing the standard seats

Once that ones done i attached the rails to the seat and bolted the new seats in. I did not that the rail wasnt the best for a dorect fit, but after a few jiggles here and there it fitted. I only had enough time to do the drivers side before i had to go to work this morning.

I couldnt resist so i drive it to work to test the fit and I'm impressed with how tight the fit is. Its the perfect size for me.

More to come this week...

I havent had trouble on the drivers side at this stage. I had mor trouble with the centre console and getting the rail to sit far enough to the left to match up the holes. Once i got the bolts in and started to tighten them all down it starting coming into place and ended up fine

Ended up getting the second seat in today.

Also bought one of these to give guard rolling a stab. I already have some rust issues in the arches so i thought i might as well try and roll them before getting it fixed.

So i attempted to roll my rear guards. Ive never tried it before and my rear guards already have some rust issues that i need to address so i though i might as well roll them and if i screw it up i needed to fix them anyway.

First of all I put the car up on stands

Then wheels came off and I got prepped with a mallet and a heat gun

Once i had bashed in the lip a fair bit i was able to attach the roller and use it to move the lip

Once i was happy with the lip i then started to push out the edge to pump the guards a bit. Here is some photos of the LH Rear and the lip work on the inside

Here is a comparison the the RH guard before i hit it with the roller, bit of a difference

Now i was time to try it on the more difficult size with the major rust problem. Ive had this issue for sometime with this car and having rust on the edge of the wheel arch and have just pretty much ignored it through laziness. Obviously this is not something I recommend people doing when it comes to rust.

I knew things had to get ugly before they got better so off i went. As soon as i started t hammer away the guard starting to crumble as i expected. Here is so pictures of it for those playing at home

Here is the best i could make of them at this stage

A this stage I'm just going to hit the rust patch with some white 2-pak paint until i can get it to a panel beater over the coming weeks.

There is another Downshift meet at QR this sunday so it will be good to take it out to the track with the higher power output than last time I was there

that rust is nasty!

but can be fixed. Just need to ensure the rust is fully removed before you weld another sheet of metal over it.

With having to get this rust fixed and the odd bit of panel work here and there to bring the body up to scratch. I'm currently tossing up the idea of giving the car a full respray in the process. Whats peoples thoughts on colour choice. I was looking at a bright red if I was going for a bright colour, otherwise maybe a more subtle silver or something

    • This car has run before on this z32 ecu can get the part number for you, I have tried with no AFM it didn’t change anything, I compression tested today 140-150 across all 6 cylinders, also set fuel pressure to 43psi. The only weird thing was cylinder 1 plug was black and fouled other 5 cylinders were just wet with fuel. Spun cas by hand and confirmed injectors are clicking

    • A 1.5 way is a 2 way. It is just a 2 way with a less aggressive ramp on overrun.
    • The ABS and/or TCS being missing/broken will not cause the engine to misbehave. It just casues CEL to come on and annoy you. The CEL is useless if it is always on, so you have to do the things you have to do to get rid of it, so it can be useful. Being a Stag ECU, then yes, it will not expect TCS to be present. But it will expect ABS to be present and working. You will need to either make the ABS CU talk to the ECU (don't ask me what that will take on an NA R34), and make sure the hardware is working....or, you just need to blank it out in Nistune. Do not persist with the stock ECU. You will just have problems. Gte it Nistuned. Start from there. DO YOU HAVE A BOOST SENSOR? The ECU's boost sensor that it. It is connected to the loom at the rear of the coil cover. Usually rides on the firewall on an R34, but is usually bolted down to a bracket along with all the other crap at the back of the coil cover when a Neo is dropped into another car. If you do not have it, the ECU will shit the bed. So, do you have one?
    • So sadly the fuel pump etc was not it. The pump and filter is new and it is still cutting around 4000 rpm. A read something about ABS/TCS (engine is from stagea and ECU too so no TCS) and i dont know for 100% that my car has ABS. It has ABS "cube" in engine bay but i dont think it works(or at least from my braking experience). Can be something like that?  I will be driving the car next week to Nistune tuner to properly see what is wrong...
