Jarrad, what side skirts are those? N1's?

And Wayne, as Damo said, chicks love the live read-outs. I bought a ECUtalk LCD read-out thingo purely for this reason. Not only do the chicks love my centre console gauges and love hearing me crap on about oil temperature, they also love reading vital information like fuel injector cycles. And water temps.

They love it.

I also indulge in explaining my torque metre in the dash.

But seriously, I hate it when chicks are like "z0mg you've got a Skyline... my ex ex ex ex bf owned one but it was like all square shaped." and you're like "but this... is a GTR... how can you compare that with a 31?" and they're like "but all Skylines are the same?"

I've only met a small handful of women who are like "Ah... GTR... 2 turbos then, eh?"

Reminds me of the time my girlfriend had a work drinks night at Marble Bar and some guy was talking to her. He's like "I drive a Skyline". So she replied "Oh which one?". He goes "An R31 Skyline". She follows up with a "Oh, the old shitty one? My boyfriend has a R32". He just walked away..

lol hence why they dropped the skyline part off the R35. getting your 160k+ car talked about like its a 2k old pos.

I always note what they say as to how much they know, if they know nothing about cars they call it a nissan, a lil they call it a skyline, and if they know what a gtr is theyll call it that or godzilla or something

n n1 sideskirts drop at the rear wheel in a lil point sorta of thing aside from that they pretty much flat like a stock gtr side skirt, take a look at the calsonic R32 that has em. least thats what i think the n1 sideskirt is

All I know is its a standard GTR kit. I don't have the rear pods, but I think they're a factory extra

The sideskits you have definately aren't standard GTR kit, theyre type M's. Front bar is, and the rear pods look stock too (like dan says, the n1 has a lip that drops down, however it does look bigger than my pods).

(I'd love to get a pair, anyone got a link as to how much they cost?)

This is what stock r32 gtr side skirts look like

Edit ; I see u edited ur post talbo, but I'd recommend Andrew at Goodyear on North East Road in Hampstead Gardens. Dude knows his stuff and has a 4 wheel aligner.

The place on Hancock rd opposite St Agnes Shopping Centre, fark the name escapes me!

Cheers. I know the place you're talking about but I don't live that way anymore so I'm going to just stop past somewhere on the way home from work and see if they can fit me in.

    • I was 99% sure the standard one is long enough to get there, you might just have to change the throttle orientation. If not, I remember someone having used an r31 cable instead, but that is probably harder to find than r33 by now...
    • HELP   Hey all, Is there an accelerator cable from another Nissan that can be used on the R33 GTST RB25DET with a Greddy forward facing plenum?  Thanks in advance  Rob
    • Or do we think it was installed to give 1 bar of boost max, all day, everyday?
    • So could it be assumed it has been installed intentionally with potentially a power FC boost controller kit?
    • Had my rig on Matt's dyno at PITS the other day. After a few years between tunes I added a few sensors and swapped intercoolers. Result. 553hp at 26psi. Not bad for an FJ20 that was built in 2007. The problem.. It filled the overflow bottle on hard runs which leads me to believe the head gasket isn't sealing. I have a coolant pressure sensor which was reading cap pressure at 22psi and occasionally overrunning to 23/24 psi on deceleration after a pull. It was not spiking. It has arp2000 head studs and a cometic gasket. As its been 18 years in service, I pulled the engine out and head off. Everything looks good but we obviously have an issue. Where I'm at.. Years ago I had the same issue, I checked the stud tension and they were all over the place. Some at 60 to 70 and some up near 90. I nipped them all to 100ft lbs and this stopped the water push until now. I believe this compromised the gasket back then. What do I do? 2 options are..  1) I bought arp 625+s, which I could put in with a new gasket. Thinking Kameari this time, reassemble and try again. 2) strip the block, get fire rings machined in with copper gasket and try that. I do not want to push it more than 28 to 30psi. I think the turbo will be out by then anyway. (G30-770). My other concern is the long term ability of a copper head gasket. Are they streetable for years? I feel like a new gasket with the new studs will probably suffice, but I don't know. Any thoughts welcome and advice on copper gaskets and fire rings. Thanks!
