Thanks man but i got one lined up for a lot less but its out jepps cross way, not sure when i'll have time to pick it up :)

You drifting this weekend?

No worries.

id really like to go for a skid, but i got my bill from the workshop, and yeah......

just over 4g.... i did things right the first time, like timing belt etc etc, hence the massive bill,

on top of things like harness bar etc etc

Probably has been asked and answered a million times on here, but what are some of the better places in Adelaide I can get some good brake pads fitted?

your garage. lol. workshops charge through the arse. i was a bit baffled by the 4 pot calipers first time, but theyre pretty simple.

What car is this for, if it is a skyline they really are very simple. If you want give me $20 and i'll show you how they are done so you don't have to pay $20 ever again (although a workshop would charge you 3 times that).

+1 for QFM pads .... but even if it just for a street car I would go for HPX's - had some on my R34 and loved them.

Changing the pads yourself is a piece of piss - only very basic mechanical skills/tools needed. In fact you could figure it out yourself .... but easier if you get someone to show you how to do one.

So are most of the pads purchased off eBay or from an online retailer? Or can you actually buy them in Adelaide?

And I'm not planning to track the car in the forseeable future.

In terms of installing it, I'd be happy to do it with some help now that it doesn't seem like such a difficult procedure. I'm quite timepoor at the moment and being clueless doesn't help lol

Rotors from Here

Install, speak to this guy Here

managed to snap a Sidchrome 1/2 drive med extension.

My mate snapped his Sidchrome doing the same thing, Kincrome with a jack handle slipped over the end took it all and asked for more.

Also loving the QFM's on the 33, they're A1RM though.

oh yep loving the QFM A1RM's atm......had lucas pads in there before and they went ok on the track day.....except brake fade on the last hot lap of the day....so not too bad IMHO......i still use the lucas pads for on the street.....i will take the qfm's out once the track day is finished and throw my lucas back in for street

    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
