got another skyline sitting at my cousins place in Victoria that i need to get back here

its not drivable and all the trucking places said that cause its not drivable it will take 3-4 weeks -_-

name a price or what ever and we can work something out

need to get it here asap before the council go Q_Q

Mitch - you car hire a car trailer for about $70 per day + $20 deposit. If you have a decent car to tow the trailer and able to drive over, spend the night and then drive back you could get your Skyline here for $140 plus fuel. $70 if you were really keen to drive over and back within 24 hours (although I wouldn't recommend this if you don't have someone to take turns at driving).

Just a suggestion.

mitch...

myself and kidafa have his stag with tow bar and a car trailer....

gna b the best part of

3000kms on the car, 1 nights accom, 6 tanks of fuel... food for 2 hungry M/F'ers

name a price n well get days off work rocking :)

how much do professional car carriers charge?

Being melb, it could be cheaper for you to put it on the back of the train

its not drivable so hardly any of em want to touch it

and the ones that do will take close to a month as its not priority :)

cheapest i found was $278 but that has to be dropped at the depo and picked up from the depo

are you an RAA member?

they do free towing to a certain point :D If not, sign up tomorrow, will cost u $115 for RAA plus, and then head over to melb and call them, make em tow it to the depot, and do the same when it arrives in adelaide

Problem solvered

EDIT - They tow up to 20km in the city and up to 100km in rural areas for RAA Plus. RAA premium gives you 50km in the city, 200km in the boonies

nah im not

When you join on the spot you only get standard benefits for the first call out.

joining up wouldnt benefit me much , already been through this with a mate who works at RAA

nah thats when you call them out without being a member and then you pay the dude on the spot for membership

if you call them up on the phone, aka tomorrow, and apply for FULL raa plus/premium membership, you'll get full benefits the first time you call them - which is whenever you can get to melbourne to be honest

get a tow for the car to the depot, and then get the free taxi to the airport/train station, then the next day call RAA again and get another tow - standard benefits are few, but the plus at least gives you unlimited call outs and the towing..

    • My idle is set at 950rpm though - Moving the timing around 20 degrees is not really what I'd call a calm idle. That said... neither is chop, by definition. The LS ECU likes to adjust timing to hold idle as opposed to air. It'd work, but generally speaking there'd be a discrepancy in the base idle and the IACV would want to move the timing around anyway to maintain said idle. I think I'm just going to keep the timing steady anyway. Preserve my engine mounts.  My aircon is now officially regassed. As the guy was reversing I noticed my reverse lights do not operate, along with my reverse cam. This is a bit distressing, because 100% of guides talk about which wire to connect to backup cams as "the goes with the [other color] wire". Often when doing conversions. Unfortunately the R34 colour wires aren't documented Unfortunately I had a T56 Magnum gearbox with it's reverse switch, which also isn't documented. Unfortunately there's definitely not documentation for people with both of these in the one car. Unfortunately I forgot. After many hours of this, I have a reverse cam and reverse lights again. The wire going through the trans tunnel to the reverse switch had broken. Upon inspection, it looks like this one wire had about 7 spade terminals and extensions in it.. for reasons I cannot possibly comprehend. I also spent the 750 hours required to clean up the wiring behind my head unit which now looks like this: This is a monumental improvement relative to what used to be there WRT triple gauges, head unit, traction control, wideband controller, and whatever the f**k OEM stuff still exists there in various states of connectivity/needed. Next step is to check in at the Exhaust shop to see/confirm how much clearance I have, to decide what mid mufflers or 'resonators' (which are just straight through, narrower mufflers) I can add and hopefully cut out a lot of exhaust leaks, pinhole, v-band or otherwise. But first step will be to 'take a look' before the next step.
    • Fark the AFM card and Nistune, Haltech Nexus S3, DBW, cruise control, flex fuel, dis dat.
    • It's most likely the bolt/bush where the cover bolts back wore and allowed cover to move forward.
    • Still haven't put the injectors and R35 AFM in so we can tune the bloody thing for the HG highflow it got mid last year! I think I can forecast the upgrade path to a bigger twin scroll, external gate, Haltech, flex setup, Samsonas, dis dat, etc will be .... a while away!
    • Should have taken that opportunity to slot in a twin scroll turbo setup. Maybe next time.
