Please be careful on the roads, guys. Freak accidents like this happen. I knew, not well, but knew the guy who died today. The panel beating shop he ran in the west was devastated when they heard the news. Did anyone see the accident?

I was caught in that traffic jam. Took me 2 hours to move 2.5 kms.

A truckie behind me got out and took a squirt next to his diesel tanks. Then a lady in front stopped in the emergency lane, opened both driver side doors and had a squat.

LOL she's clearly done this before. I wouldn't have thought of doing that myself.

Someone dies because instead of continuing on with their life they stopped to help someone...and people believe there's a god? If there is he/she ain't kind!

lol, people will say "god" works in mysterious ways.

Funny how 'God' to some people has become just something to blame things on when shit goes wrong, its pathetic.

RIP to the poor guy, and his family.

Did anyone else find it a bit insensitive that all the policeman was talking about was the traffic, when an innocent bloke has died!?

The clip went for 64 seconds and he commented on the traffic for the last 17 seconds, i guess you must have watched a different clip.

This is the second time i know of this happening in almost the same location, last time an axle broke on a truck, the tyre and axel bounced off the sound barrier and hit a sub contractor mowing the grass.

Not at all, what with free will and all. But a lack of divine intervention? Yes, he/she could cut someone a lttle slack maybe and prevent that from happening - given we hear of people claiming to have their prayers answered. And particularly when we have a heap of rules and morals dictating in his/her words what a good person is supposed to be - how unfortunate that judgement comes after the tyre flying at 90km/h to take you out on the way to helping someone.

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
