I'd like to see the Hi Octane 34 win the day but being a betting man Id be putting my money on the Tomei/Cusco WRX.

I've seen this thing in japan and it did win at Tsukuba last year and Tarzan has had plenty of driving outside of Jappa, so shouldnt get flustered by a goat track.

Will be an interesting couple of days.

Good luck to those competing and heres hoping this is the start of World Time attack tour !

I seriously doubt the other USA teams even got loaded on a boat. I would think they wouldv'e withdrawn from the competition before shipping the cars some weeks ago.

The superlap website doesn't mention anything about withdrawal of the teams, but if you check the entry list in Pro Class, there is only one USA car - i.e. Sierra Sierra Evo.

Perhaps Superlap organisers felt it would hurt their ticket sales or event turnout if they announced any withdrawals??

Having said that, I know in motorsport things don't always work out but would think overseas teams pulled out weeks ago.

I hope not, they can be sued for false advertising :P but who is going to do that when a two day ticket only cost $60? :ninja: Bah that scion sounded like it was made up anyway and the nsx couldn't stand a chance.

But John's 300zx looked like it could play catch...its still going to be an awesome event.

If anyone wants to sling me a few bucks I'll gladly drive your car if it's wet.

I walked the infield when I was there a few weeks back and have worked out where heaps of time can be shaved.

I'm assuming having a navigator in the car is ok? I'll need someone to open the gate.

    • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
    • What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2. Might be worth checking for the other models as well as they seem slightly different. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/misc/G49 Man, I'm tempted.
    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
