I was interested in the Capa set up, but after going to Melbourne to see simon at Nizpro I decided to purchase one of his stage II bolt-on upgrade kits.As this is my tow ute I am not keen on going further than that, & just wanted a simple, ready made kit.The R&D on these kits is impressive & the product look great - hope it goes well too.

The street GTR is the one I am excited about - should have it by the end of the week.

whats invoved with the stage 2 nizpro setup Munro, and the $$ involved, i dont think we will be modding either of our utes for a whhile thats what the skylines are for but in a while it would be good.

Also good to see both your cars are getting there Munro, cant wait for the 4,6 rotor nats

Glad to hear everything is progressing nicely now John! Can't wait for a ride in Drift-6 .... it's really going to be something else :)

/me giggles like a little girl in excited anticipation

I'll keep the ford stuff in the XR6Turbo forum where it should be - there will be plenty of time to check the ute out next year when it's done Clint.

In the meantime - are ther any plans to go for a cruise before the middle of Jan?

Be good to catch up with those of you I have not seen for a while.

John,

i didnt get to see under the bonnet of your "street " gtr but knowing some of the good gear thats been "borrowed " for the streeter it will be an awsome package!(it was on the hoist) However i have been up close and personel with some of the work that has been carried out on the race car motor and this does look very impressive---love the engineering that has been put into the car and more recently the motor, and im sure the car hasnt run anywhere near its potential yet.I think i can say on behalf of the sa contingent good luck,we wait and watch with much anticipation---bring it on!!!!

Regards,

SKYLINE...(Kym)

Martin any probs yet with the xr6t manual box, im getting mine in a week or so and have ordered a manual for the work hack.

XR6 Turbos have several chronic problems

Noisy gearboxes

VCT solenoids

Software bugs

Faulty O-Rings in the water pump

Faulty PCV Valves

Aerial Module problems

and general other fit and finish stuff

The R&D on these kits is impressive & the product look great - hope it goes well too.

Looks like we have a little challenge coming up John! I was talking to Mick late yesterday and he tells me you are going out to the track in the XR6 once he has finished setting it up (early next week?). Cool! How about some farmyard action, with XR6T versus VYII Tonner? That would make for some great drag racing. Keep in mind the Ute muster drags - 23-25th Jan AIR

More mods coming on the "Plan C" tonner before then Tuna?

A farmyard battle sounds like fun Martin.Ute drags in Jan could be a goer.

Mark,Mick & Tyson have done a great job on the R33.It only needed some light tuning & a few accessories fitted but was not completely finished, so rather than rush them, we will leave the last finishing touches till the new year.

I'm dissapointed not to be able to run the engine in over the holidays - but thats modified cars for you. It did sound very tough on the dyno, & the pfitzner gearbox feels great.

Of course Cheeky, you will be taking shotgun honours when the car is driven.

After all the cruising I have been doing with you, It will be nice for you to be the passenger for a change. :)

On another note - whats the deal with cabin changing Drag combat to the same weekend as our 4,6&rotor nationals here in Adelaide???

Obviously, the NSW cars will not come across when there is an event for them in Sydney, & why would Keir & I spend thousands to travel there when we can run our GTRs here? Doesn't make any sense to me!

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
