Hey team,

Im currently shopping for a Dump + Front or a Dump/Front combo etc for my S2 Stagea.

I was under the general impression that a R33 dump&front would bolt straight on,

But then someone mentioned that the Neo engines may sit a little bit higher then the

usual RB25's? there fore the front pipe would rub against the firewall and floor.

So I thought I might just buy a Dump and get a front pipe made to suit...

But... I was hoping to purchase a C.E.S dump. But might opt' for a cheaper item.

Provided its not stainless I'll be more then happy.

So Im curious what everyone is running?

Pictures would be much appreciated :)

I'm fitting a JJR split dump pipe with custom piping back to cat section next monday, I'm only sticking with 2.5" all the way through as its the other half's daily drive and we're not looking for performance gains but rather just replacing the old and rusted sections of the exhaust system with new pipe and mufflers. We ended up having a Varex muffler fitted up at the end and it does a great job on its own.

I'm sure you wont have any issues with having a dump pipe fitted up and having a custom made section back as clearance can be factored in when the exhaust shop fabricates it.

3" all the way is much better and wont cost much more.

Hey,

Thanks for the feed back! :D

Ah, I did look at the JJR items, also came across GK Tech's. They got a Dump + Front with Flex piece going

real cheap. But they list the 'Dump' as not R34/Stagea compatible ?

I also went on the C.E.S site... They dont list a Stagea but they do have a R34 GTT split Dump/Front.

Id hope it would be a direct fit as the price would hurt me.

Ok, Im just looking at JustJap now. Im 'trying' to get away with a one piece Dump/Front.

Im looking at the 'JJR Mild Steel 3" Bellmouth Front/Dump Pipe - Nissan'.

Now Ive noticed they list the 'Direct Fit - Nissan Skyline R34 GTT (RB25DET)' one seperate to the 'Direct Fit - Nissan Skyline R32/R33 GTS-T/Stagea WGNC34'.

Now Im assuming that the R32/R33/Stagea one would be to suit S1 Stagea...? Or is JustJap just listing

2x for the sake of it?

Thanks

I had a few problems with a Just Jap Bellmouth due to the fact that it was stainless steel and non bendable, so it was hard to fit and kept rubbing on the autos gearbox cross member.

I went with a quality R33 HKS dump with good gaskets from Nengun and hooked up a second hand mild steel Trust front pipe, it then fitted perfectly to my silent zorst.

Also whilst doing this it is a good idea to replace your 10 year + O2 sensor.

Ultimately this was great due to the fact that JDM parts have superior gaskets and fitment and when I lowered my stag on Tein springs it was quite lowish and if you bottom out your car you can just have the front pipe replaced easily.

Just my two cents, hope it helps.

Cheers.

Well I have a B.O.S stainless steel split dump, which is for a 33.... I was hoping I could fit it up to the stagea... But I'm guessing that it won't fit due to height of the engine?
I have a steel R33 split dump in my S1. Could be made to fit an S2 without too much trouble. I know the stainless manifolds have a bad record for breaking but I don't know about the stainless front pipes.

Yeah My o2 Sensor isn't the happiest camper right now so I also plan on using new gaskets + sensor etc. :)

DSTROY; Thats interesting you could bolt a RB20 dump on.

There's a bit of conflicting information I keep coming across. As I was going to get the GK Tech Dump + Front, they list it to suit R32/R33 RB20/RB25. I'll ring them as soon as I can find a free minute. But when I check the listing for the Dump ONLY they actually say in the description ' ...does NOT fit R34 / Stagea... ' So go figure?

Plan B is to just buy it + high flow cat and take it to my mech and ask him to make it fit. :(

Although, the simplicity of a bolt on App. would be preferred.

i'll prob end up getting the last one cos my front has already been done

but i dont think you can loose with the mild or stainless front pipes

Yeah, I seen these and they're 99% the same as what GK Tech is offering.

http://www.gktech.com.au/front.asp?pid=11&...tID=R323%2DFRDU

But as dirtyRS4 stated he had problems with his.

That why I was leaning towards GK Tech as their's has a 'Flex piece' in the Front pipe to allow for abit of

loving. :)

Im going to ring both GK T. and C.E.S tomorrow to have a chat about options.

Ok, just got off the phone to JustJap. The explained that the Dump pipe for the R34 GTT is longer, as the CAT is located further back then a R32/R33/Stagea. So he said the Bell Mouth to suit R32/R33 in mild steal is the best option, and yes, it may/will require mod'n slightly as it will rub. Thus the choice of mild steal, easy to work with, even just to heat it up and smack it a little.

Also, for a bit over $200 I cant really complain. + slight mod.

thats interesting to know, i'll measure the length of my dump and compare it to my mates 33, i guess if its the same i'll be safe to get the front pipe

I used an xforce R33 dump/front...second hand (Thanks to Darrinspencer)..it used to rub the front diff bracket with the first owner...with me it fitted straight up and when installed the front bracket (stock one )had even more room

    • Hi 🙋‍♂️. Just bought my Unicorn but the interior need some minor work so it would match my expectations ;). I noticed it is hard to get used oem floor mats in good condition so i started to dig if there's any chance to buy set of new ones. I found two websites - nengun and amayama and it looks like one can still buy factory new floor mats in Japan, but thers a small issue. Some mats (i assume genuine, oem ones) are marked as G4900 and these are "discontinued". The ones you can buy are marked as G4911 but i have no idea if these are also oem, made by other producer or some lower quality replacements that looks entirely different. Can anyone help? 😃  P.s. there is also some strange indication - 0V005, 0V015 and 0V505. Any idea what does it mean? Would appreciate any help with this 🙏
    • Hi, Marek here 🙋‍♂️. I finally fulfilled my longtime dream - recently bought Stagea and now waiting for it to arrive in Poland. There's only few of these in my country, and one of the owners  recommended mi this forum as a source of all the info i'd need since now i own one  so here i am.
    • Version 1 aluminium airbox is.......not acceptable No pics as I "didn't like the look.....alot" Even after all my "CAD", and measurements, the leg near the fusebox just didn't sit right as it ended up about 10mm long and made the angle of the dangle look wrong, the height was a little short as well, meh, I wasn't that confident that Version 1 was going to be an instant winner I might give Version 2 another go, there's plenty of aluminium at work, but, after having in on and off a few times, and laying in the old OEM airbox without the new pod filter and MAF, there may be an option to modify the OEM air box and still use the Autoexe front cover and filter.... maybe This >  Needs to fit in here, but using the panel, and not the pod, the MAF will need to fit in the airbox though> I'm thinking as the old OEM box and Autoexe cover that is sitting in the shed is just sitting around doing nothing, and they are relatively abundant and cheap to replace if I mess it up and need another, it may well fit with some modifications to how the Autoexe brackets mounts to the rad support, and some dremiling to move it get in there, should give me some more room for activities, as I don't want to move the MAF and affect the tune Sealing the hole it requires to stick it in the air box is simple, a tight fit and some pinch weld will seal it up tight  I am calling this a later problem though
    • and it ends up being already priced in as though you're just on 91RON without any ethanol. Car will lose a bit of economy as the short and long term fuel trims bring down the AFR back to stoich or whatever it is for cruise/idle for the engine.
    • Oh, you are right. But, in Australia E10 is based on 91RON fuel and ends up being 94RON. Hence it being the cheaper option for economy cars. The more performance oriented cars go for the 98RON fuel that has no ethanol mixed in. The only step up we have left then at some petrol stations is E85.
