yeh was a good day..

cheers for the chat and good to meet you..

quick car and lights up well :action-smiley-069:

I must say you was also quick and interesting to watch, and your times??

ha, its only interesting to watch cause the fool behind the wheel cant drive. :action-smiley-069:

best was 1:27 dead.

Fantastic day guys, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Seems like it was pretty much a success so we'll definately start planning another ASAP

awesome day was awesome. you know my sentiments on exactly how awesome today was. lol.

I had the most fun I have ever had in a car - and thats saying something

as I have done plenty of crazy stuff. Was a real thrill racing against Keir

in his insane R35. That car is amazing - can drive out there legally & still

pull low 12s!!! I am very happy with my new slicks, they gave me the confidence

to push harder out of corners & to drop down in to the high 12s was brilliant.

Cant wait for more. The R35 was struggling a bit with 12000km old tyres

but still was fun to get "in the groove" before my R33 rocked up

(thanks to my Brother Daniel)

Thankyou to everyone who organised the day. Was the perfect track day.

I heard someone has some video of my R33 chasing Keirs R35. I am keen to

get hold of that on disc if possible please....... Cheers.

I also realised that I bought that R33 GTR from Prestige Cars at Walkerville back

in April 2000 (with only 13000km on it) so todays track day was my 10th Anniversary

owning it. I think is was quite a suitable celebration. Awesome fun to drive.

cheers guys, was an absulotely fantastic day. good to get out there and see what some of those cars could do.

big thanks to all those who helped out during the day (steve for BBQ, matty for using his trailer as car ramps, etc)

can't wait to get out there again, hopefully with a few tweaks to the car, but all in all a fantastic day was had

Cheers Bengi

Munro, that time is phenomenal, well done! I managed to beat my previous PB with a 1:23.30 which I'm pretty happy with but I know there's room for more, need to be harder on the brakes and I'll get there. Had issues earlier in the day with tire pressures but once that was all sorted, was sweet! I was surprised by the turnout today, both drivers and spectators and we couldn't have asked for a better day.

I've just received word from Shane that the staff told Clem we were a top club and welcome back any time at Mallala so well done to you all guys!!!

Fantastic day guys, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Seems like it was pretty much a success so we'll definately start planning another ASAP ;)

*cough...skids

looked like you all had a ball! was well worth me retiring from work half way thru the day

to come watch

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
