If there is going to be a few of you classic boys I might fly over for the weekend and then aim to have the car there in 2011.

If you do, you might get a chance to feel for yourself what we were talking about, as I can set up the PNV with same bars.

Cheers, D

and pay a mobile mechanic to follow :D

just need to keep a lot of tools with me and belts etc and it should be fine.

Im told C210s are really good for highway cruising because of their gearing, im pretty sure its true, it does well.

yea they sit at about 4000rpm lol. take alot of fuel money.

seriously though i trust these cars with my life. take brake fluid. p/s fluid too. socket set. spanners. cigarettes. ect lol

just hope you never have to use any of them.

is yours auto?

mines the 5pd manual and it sits on ~2800rpm @ 100km/h

i guess the 3speed would push the revs up higher?

The past nats have been awesome at Shepparton. This event in Adelaide is promising to be even bigger and better. Please note guys, if you pay your entry to Mallala and nationals entry, you do not need to pay for concourse judge or park.

$140.00 early bird pricing for mallalla is very cheap motorsport.

If you already have a CAMS l2s licence and SAU, NDSOC os CSA membership, then you do not need to apply for membership status to run this event. If you are not a member of these clubs, you will require membership of a CAMS affiliated club to compete in the track day. CSA is offering weekend memberships with CAMS affiliation for $20.00, and this covers you for the week. You may look to pursue membership with SAU for the whole year, or CSA for $55.00 for the whole year.

Any questions head to www.skylinenationals.com or www.classicskylinesaustralia.com.au who are the organisers of this national event. Or send email to [email protected]

We have been able to confirm that we CAN get Day CAMS licences for those who just want a day licence. However, the cost is $55.00. Please note, this is the CAMS charge, not CSA's. So the cost for a yearly licence is $110.00, and a day licence $55.00. You MUST also be a member of a CAMS affiliated club to race. Whether that is CSA, SAU, NDSOC or any other CAMS affiliated club.

CSA can do nothing about the CAMS charge for day rates.

Just as long as my homework pays, im definitly in. will be doing a few club days or similar before hand to iron out the bugs...

ordered a set of rear disks, mine are too thin to get machined and are warped to buggery!... might amend the old project thread.

my idea is to go along for the experience and enjoyment of the whole thing, not to win anything

your coupe dont need to be in perfect nic, just CLEAN! even it it was dented and marked and odd colour guards, as long as it is crystal clean that is a good start

speaking of good starts, my suspension parts have been sorted, an dwill be in the 'testing' phase very soon

can get permits for a cruise or to move a vehicle etc. but for a cruise it has to b a register one and need a letter from the organisers. just wondering if there will b a registered cruise for this event and if so, who to contact about getting a letter? (just says what the cruise is for and location/roads taken etc).

would love to take my dr30 out..

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
