Lol I had to stop and look when I saw Joeyjoejoe asking about bodykits. Something just wasn't right :D

Its hard to go past custom wide body from CARBON (painted to look factory) including unpainted carbon front splitter and rear diffuser. With a V8 supercar style spoiler to pull off a suitable GT car effect.

That said. Very impractical for real use so i'm going to stick with nice simple add on front lip and a gtr spoiler. Leave the rest of the bodywork standard. Very practical, generally looks clean, cheap. Easier to replace/repair a lip then a full bar and it looks much nicer to me then a big chunky missmatch of parts (or veilside  )

multiple choice time!

which is:

  1. a higher center of gravity height
  2. a lower center of gravity height

the lower you go, the better.

I can prove this with science.

Yes please, Whats the reason, explain this science, we are talking about road going cars that hit the track as well, yes ?

My car handles much better since Ive raised it up to SKs recomendations, Have I imagined this ?

?

cbf condensing a 4 (well 5.5 for me) year long engineering degree into 3 lines, so here:

no, you are. no one mentioned any track going cars. but even in track going cars, the lower you get, the better. Obviously for safety sake you try and avoid catching oil sumps etc on ripplestrips. I have a blatant disregard for ADR's, therefore I run my car as low as my sanity and my wallet will allow.

yes, but we're in the cosmetic and styling mods section, not the suspension and braking and tyres section or the motorsport section. Aesthetically, most bodykits are designed with the car sitting quite low in mind. refer to promotional material for proof.

Suspension travel

The severe handling vice of the TR3 and related cars was caused by running out of suspension travel. (See below.) Other vehicles will run out of suspension travel with some combination of bumps and turns, with similarly catastrophic effect. Excessively modified cars also may encounter this problem.

This is what you referanced.^

Still relevant as the kits all sit at different heights, my 400R was 50mm of the ground which was getting cracked on bumps and such.

So, in closing, get what you like but be carefull and dont whinge when you smash your nice new front bar because your car is set too low and hit that manhole cover, or you crashed after hitting a bump mid corner and went into the gutter.

Low is slow.

Your confusing two different things.

(a) Lowering a normal car as low as it can go before it hits the ground

(b) Having a car built to be as low as it can to the ground.

It's not just about centre of gravity, you have to look at what all the suspension of the car is doing.

i has a lemon?

lol i think the do luck kit is sex but then the 400r kit is sex but then the top secret kit is sex >< guess it goes by wat u like at the end of the day :D

I have the 400R bar and once it is sprayed will be ready to go on, have the top secret front bar and ripped it off at a drift day, it is now zip tied together lol  Have a vielside rear bar and hate it, i hate vielside. Will change that shortly.

As with ride height, optimal turn in and performance is as close to stock height as you can get (even with a new suspension setup) - Was told this by one of the best suspension guys I know of and the car handles amazingly well.

Could you post some pics please?

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
