ON EDGE you have absolutely no idea....

I've heard an exhaust on a R32 RB20DE and it sounds excellent, apexi full system too and no annoying drone

i guess owning a worked r33 series 2 an r34 GT-R means i got no idea hey??? quick to have a go aint ya?

had a friend with a r33 gts4 n/a with exhaust, there horrible.....

n/a = ricer/wannabe

my advice, if its n/a, keep that engine muffled

a quick question, will it be wise to put a rb26dett into a GTS4???

it would only make sense.....just ask Chad (DSTROY) he has a RB26DETT in a GTS4 shell/running gear.....

I am with cosi on the NA sounding shit....just depends on what exhaust people are getting......i had a mazda 626 with a 2.5" cat back system with a box and it sounded quiet nice.....no droning nothing like that......those riced up lancers really shit me off with their supercheap cannon......

+1 Krishy

Keep it muffled none of this cheap cannon with the marble rattle rubbish

yep i think of an exhaust upgrade as a performance enhancing upgrade that induces better flow of the exhaust gasses....now a NA riced up lancer will prob gain nothing from that shitty super cheap cannon and a 3" cat back system.....where as a turbo'ed motor willl pick up some decent performance

fine don't respect what other skyline owners have, be a selfless snob, in fact go post in the N/A section just how much you really feel...

like ANY exhaust system, you have to do it right otherwise it's not going to sound good, your biased opinion therefore doesn't matter

and how does, n/a = ricer/wannabe? Do you even know the meaning? :D

I aint bias, i dont like there sound, imo the commodore from ecotec onwards sounds better. Thats My opinion, because i think that i have had some wankers abuse me, why? Because they are so caught up in the illusion that nothing can be better than a skyline

there are some people on here that are so bias and think skylines are the best and only good thing. This is what really frustrates me. :P

I respect what people have, but dont put a straight through on a car that will not benefit from it in anyway.

I guess your the type of bloke that applauds the lancer owner with a tinny sounding cannon exhaust.

The skyline N/A is no performance car, dont kid yourself an try an make it something it aint. Save money and do an engine transplant, dont try and mod an n/a skyline

    • But seriously, can we ask for the results of the "tip a bottle of metho into a nearly empty tank" experiment?
    • Hang on. Let me get this straight. The desire is to have coilovers, BC in particular, to be MORE comfortable on Sydney roads than stock suspension? Well, that's obviously not right. BCs have crude damping design at the very best, and typically hard spring rates. BC stands for Billy Cart. And then, the desire is to put in some shitty old worn out stockers, to get it blue slipped and then put the BCs back in? And then.....what? Not worry about getting pulled up by the Plod? Because you seem to have raised a worry about paying for engineering (which actually does solve all your legality problems) and still getting pulled up.... but the only problem there is that if/when that happens you have to show your paperwork at the inspection station. Whereas, if you just swap in borrowed shitty old stockers to get it slipped now, and then you get defected in the future, you have to go find more shitty old stockers then too. You course of action looks like this set of options: Buy brand new stock type dampers, and springs. probably cost a bit more than $1k all up, but will last for the remaining life of the car. Put them in, pass inspection, drive on them forever more. Hell, they could even be really nice Bilsteins and Kings or other lower&stiffer springs if you wanted. Get the car engineered as is. ~$1k. Buy new Shockworks coilvers (or MCA) and also pay for engineering. You're spending a lot more here. But these will be the best things that you could drive around on.
    • Might be worthwhile hitting up Facebook's groups, I know most of them contain terrible people and scammers - however you might be able to find someone that's in Sydney with factory suspension you could purchase and/or hire. Just do not send any form of money anywhere, in person cash only.
    • Thanks @Duncan Ride height is fine. I think it's almost stock tbh. Happy to share a pic. I don't actually have a regular mechanic as haven't lived in Sydney too long. Could you or anyone recommend any shops in Sydney?
