So I have an RB25DET series I swap in my S14

Everything was working fine until I did my turbo swap.

I did new intercooler pipes, Blow thru Maf setup, 6boost twin scroll manifold with twin wastegates and Bullseye S362 .91 Twin Scroll Turbo.

I ordered two tial wastegates and they are installed as well.

Car runs fine, just I get absolutely no boost. I can hear the turbo spooling around 2800-3000rpms and at WOT the boost gauge goes to 0 but never anything higher then that.

I know I have a leak at the downpipe after the turbo because the V-Band clamp that was provided does not seal properly. But, this should not be causing me to not boost.

I can feel some air coming out of the BOV when I give her some throttle...that is all.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

I'm going to run a boost leak test, but, I highly doubt to find anything significant since I redid all my piping there are only a few silicone couplers on my setup and they are virginally tight.

This is something I'd like to see a few pictures of, just to show what can be done. I do like your thinking, and for the $$ spent it should be a great setup.

Question - when you say car runs fine, do you mean it idles fine, or it runs through the rpm range fine? If it's not boosting it should be as flat as a fart as you attempt to rev and/or load it. Does not sound right that it is fine other than no boost.

Have you checked the pipework for any rags inadvertently left behind during final assembly?

I would be checking that the wastegate valves are seating

^+1, but:

If it is not boosting at all, those gates would nearly have to be wide open and basically bypassing all gases. And again, it would be giving lifeless response.

I'd also remove the compressor inlet pipe to check that the compressor can actually spin (I noted that you'd commented about being able to hear it spooling). Make sure there is no assembly error or anything else that has it seized or dragging.

sounds like it could be a gate issue, considering most other variables (new turbo, tight cooler piping connections) seem to be addressed.

There is only a few things it could be..check them off the list one by one.

This is something I'd like to see a few pictures of, just to show what can be done.

Search and you shall find.

Found the pics, thought it was a build done in the US. 6boost must be doing a decent export trade too. Pipework looks schmick, but I do wonder if the WG takeoff pipes are at a fairly abrupt angle.

Definitely looks the part, wish I could find the specs from BW on a S362.

S362 by bullseye power.bullseye power.

S362 V-Band Outlet 76.3/67.6 Turbine Wheel 0.91 A/R

Turbocharger Name - S362

Compressor Wheel Inducer - 62mm

Compressor Wheel Exducer - 80.6mm

Compressor Wheel Trim - 54

Turbine Wheel Inducer - 76.3mm

Turbine Wheel Exducer - 67.6mm

Turbine Wheel Trim - 79

Turbine Option - Outlet - V-Band

Turbine Option - Inlet - T4

Turbine Option - A/R - 0.91

Horsepower Rating - 350-680

thats a pretty wide horsepower target....is it right?

Otherwise looks like a good thing, size is right in the ball park.

Turns out one of the intercooler pipes was off, completely off. But being the fact that I just upgraded to a blow through MAF and the pipe popped off BEFORE the MAF, starting/idling/normal driving was not a problem so I thought there couldn't be a boost leak.

I fixed the leak and now I am very very impressed with the setup. I drove her around a bit and at WOT only on 10psi I start spooling approx. ~3200 and full boost by ~3800.

I need a tune and alittle more cleanup so I parked the car for now. Probably going to ditch my Jim Wolf ECU and go Vipec. Have a small video to upload soon and after that will post again with dyno sheets and new ECU.

They are a slightly mutant version Bullseye put together, I have actually been considering going to a genuine Borg Warner S300SX 83/75 for my next setup....

    • Plan on the day will be to park trackside. Depending on space availability we will try put a small shade tent and a few of the cars on top of the hill inside turn 3, this is an easy to get to parking area with views of Turn 2, Turn 3, Turn 4 and Turn 5 and limited other pieces of the view around the track. IMPORTANT NOTE! One consideration from previous years is from memory the trackside parking sells out before the admission tickets, for that reason I encourage anyone planning on coming to buy tickets for parking now via the official website; https://www.worldtimeattack.com/ The type of parking you are looking for is 2 Day Park & View (Access Around Venue) Vehicle Pass Only Please note this does not include admission to the event itself, remember to grab that also, and kids under 12 get in for free!
