Looks sweet!

tangomatt's R34 GTR is a stunner as well!

I remember seeing the LMGT4's wheels at a Show N' Shine and they are in MINT condition.

Nismo LMGT4's are my all time fav wheels, but I have settled (atm) for TE37's as they came with my car

Thanks everyone for all your kind words! I'm looking forward to put more updates on here.

Thank you again Matt for such an easy transaction with the wheels. I had to look at them everytime I walked into the garage for 3 whole weeks until I got my car :woot:

I'm a huge sucker for all things Nismo ! :D

When I first saw them for sale I just had to jump on them straight away. I would love to own a set of TE37's. I was considering them as well as CE28N's before I got the LMGT4's.

Nah, TE37 > LMGT4 (even if they have a fancy center cap!) :( Haha!

Just installed some Nismo LED Tailights yesterday. They are super bright, especially when you brake, you can pretty much everything light up behind you in red. And yes Terry, I bought the girlfriend some nice fragrances as well just to keep the balance in order :)

I guess they are both great wheels.

I still prefer the stock tail lights, but that adds a slight update to the car.

Hehe...

Most girls appreciate it when you get them something on birthdays, valentines, anniversaries or Christmas.

The fact that you buy her something special on a day that is none of the above means, you are her soul-mate.

Now let's see how many years it takes for her to catch on that straight after you've bought her something, you buy yourself something! My guess? 'Er 5 years lol :(

I'm looking to get a Nismo 320km/h instrument cluster but I haven't decided on whether I should get the black face or white face. I've seen that the white face is a more popular choice for the GTR, but on my GT-T before, I had the black face Nismo 300km/h cluster and I just loved it when it was illuminated at night.

Thing is, I'm not too sure about is whether or not they both illuminate the same colour or if they are different. If anyone could post up a picture of the white face cluster when it's illuminated that would be much appreciated.

cheers,

Garland

Very Very nice car mate, kudos to you on changing the tail lights, its the one thing about the r34's i dislike - standard tail lights.

I currently have a r34 GT (for sale) and have the nismo tail lights too, love them.

I know others have said it, but you own my dream car too, bayside blue (or would be equally happy with midnight purple 3) :P

I'll try and get a pic of mine lit up as I have the white faced one. If you like it, I've got a brand spanking new cluster for sale as well too.

Thanks for that Eugene! PM sent

Thanks Chris. All the best and good luck for your sale. Hope to see you post up your R34 GTR next then :P

Here is a pic of the new Nismo 320km/h White Face Cluster I've just installed. Thank you to Eugene again for your help with the part and for a very smooth transaction. I have also took apart the standard cluster's fascia and swapped it with the Nismo one. I think that it gives it more of an "edgy-er", smoother look and it also matches up the fascia around the head unit and the gear shift surround. Plus when I had my GT-T before I use to always want the metallic fascias of the R34 GTR's :ermm:

I'd thought of selling my original dash and buying the Nismo one that JDM Performance sells. Eugene is so honest in his dealings too.

But my reason was not based on looks. I wished mine looked as nice as yours.

I just knew that whenever I go over 180, I'd really not want to know how fast I was actually doing.

You know the saying, "Ignorance Is Bliss" hehe...

Besides, what else can I say if Mr Plod pulls me over and asks, "Do you realise how fast you were going back there?"

I always tell the truth! Well nearly... :D

Thanks all for your kind words!

Terry: Thanks Terry! hahaha But I guess in that situation ignorance is bliss. :)

LOL I guess a "I'm not too sure" answer would be much better than "oh about 221km/h" :(

But yeah, Eugene is very honest with he's dealings. Great person to deal with. I had the Nismo cluster as well in my old GT-T and driving with the standard issue one, just doesn't feel the same lol But the white face one definitely stands out more.

I also saw Garry & Jack last weekend. The performance figures on your car are very impressive!

Pity you didn't own your car for the 10th Anniv of the R34 GT-R Event that our team put on last year.

You'd have to contact and buy "MOTIVE DVD #3" (back issue) to see it. We caught the autumn colours of Mt Wilson + Japanese Sword Display + lady in Kimono dress. All caught on Performance Imports Magazine #113 "Best Of The Best" (That would have to be a back issue too).

Wow that sounded awesome! Yeah I saw lots of pictures from that day and Eugene had also mentioned it to me as well. Damn! If only there were another one :) Looked like such an awesome day out!

But back then Garry and Jack had a different GTR to this one. Looks wise it's almost the same. I think I've stumbled upon that car on the For Sale threads not too long ago.

    • Take the value it measured as, and pick the closest range available that is above the reading on the screen.   Also, no point just testing the coils. Read what has been said again. You need to test all your wiring, everything.
    • Does the scanner do all the CUs in the car, or only the ECU?
    • @666DAN sorry to bring you and old thread.     I've got my de+t done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.    Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd when selected . But nothing when in  drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic. I'm sure there is maybe 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Do ya have any ideas?     Cheers man
    • Well I recently changed my rear axles and was thinking if I bumped anything, I have been driving the car for a while now though... But it has been raining today so everything is wet under the wheel arches. Brakes feel fine and can't hear any of the metal screamers, I had a squeak coming from one of the handbrake drums but that seems to have gone away a while ago. I was going down a hill when it lit up and I did feel the abs bite for a second and question why it did it?
    • Correct. Um. I dunno. I haven't cared enough about the way that the NA cars work to know for sure. But..... The 33/34 turbo manual cars have an electronic speed sensor in the gearbox that outputs a +/- (ie, sawtooth AC) voltage signal. That is connected to the speedo. The speedo then outputs a 0-5v square wave (ie, PWM) signal that the ECU (and any other CU on the bus) sees. The speed sensor is NOT directly connected to the ECU. So here's the problem. Your new ECU expects to see the PWM signal, but must somehow be getting a direct signal from the diff speed sensor. Which would suggest that the wiring of the NA car is not the same as the turbo cars. I think you will need to spend some time with (hopefully the wiring diagram for the car) and a multimeter to see what is connected to what. Then, presuming I am correct**, you would then want to separate the ECU speed signal input from the rest of the car's wiring, and probably either buy a speed signal converter, or build one using an arduino (or similar). That would take in the speed sensor signal and output a scaled (and suitably rearranged) signal for the ECU. ** We shouldn't presume that I am correct here, because there might be something else crazy going on. I don't think you could convert the speedo to be fed from the gearbox sensor, because the pulse rate from that sensor is probably different to the diff sensor and then the speedo would read wrongly. And this also wouldn't fix the ECU's problem either, because the ECU doesn't want to see the gearbox signal direct either (assuming that they are all on the same wiring, for some odd NA related reason, see above caveat!) Does this help? Probably not. Can you make it work? Almost certainly. With the above work. You should buy a handheld oscilloscope from Aliexpress so that you can view these signals directly. Connect up the probes and drive the car. Show photos of the screen when drving at known speeds and connected to different places, and we'll see what we can learn about it.
