Food, Beer, Talks, People, Cars, Beer and laughs!

These social meetings are divided into two parts, the first if your hungry is a meal from the bistro and a chance to have a chat with other members then the second is a short informal meeting.

We use these meetings to give quick rundowns on past events with video's, pictures and stories etc, to address pressing matters, tell members what's happening behind the scenes and for discussion on upcoming events. It's all pretty relaxed and fun. This is a great opportunity for those of you who don't know too many members to come down and mix as new faces are always welcomed.

Time - 8.00pm start, dinner from 6.30 ish

Date - Tuesday 20 April 2010

Location - Bell's Hotel, 157 Moray St, South Melbourne (Cnr Moray St & Coventry

St Melways Ref - 57, G1)

Note - This Pub is family friendly with an area set aside for us. There is plenty of seating (tables and chairs) and meals for all.

Who is welcome - Everyone!

MERCHANDISE

- Let me know if there is anything you would like me to bring along for you to look at.

MEMBERS DOOR PRIZE- This month we will have 3 (that's right 3!!!) door prizes for our lucky members to win.

Each prize is a $50 Shell Fuel Card, plus an SAU Vic hoody in your choice of available sizes.

Sounds good.

Bec: So is 'Team Wang' a subsidiary of SAU? I saw a Rex with a sticker like your signature and saw the 'Require 2 Balls' (should that be 'Requires'?)... made me laugh. Vroom!

Yeah "Team Wang" was conceived about 6 years ago at Winton.

It was created (after several beers) by the first contingent of SAU ppl to attend a track weekend.

Several beers? lol...

RE: Guest Speaker - None this month, however there are discussions about having a special car coming along.

More updates if/when we can provide. It's not locked in yet, so cross your fingers kiddies :action-smiley-069:

And yes, i'll be there!

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
