Hey everyone.

Picked up my M35 last week and have been getting things slowly done. Got the TV converted to English - Thanks Andy, alarm installed, new silver number plates (wank) and now blacked out headlights.

In the process I destroyed my passenger side headlight.... (anyone got a spare I can buy?) but its in the car and doesn't look too bad.

If someone can help me out with a replacement headlight I will post up a step by step tutorial with pictures.

Here is a photo I just took:

Makes the front end look so much tougher. :3some:

Yep, looks waaaaaaaaaaaay better. Well done.

You might want to try Yahoo Auctions via Import Monster to find that headlight (although you might luck out on eBay).

Out of curiosity, what parker globe is in there? It looks like a very nice white!

you need to track down where that smashed white M35 went too.....try contacting Angus Smart(aka Andrew)...pretty sure he know where it went to.

Hope this help's as I am keen as to do this.

Gave Chris a quick hand at doing this today, and its a tricky one! end results are awesome!

He has both in, and its looks insane, even if his passenger side is a bit buggered, you cant tell from the outside!

It really makes it look loads tougher.

In regards to light spread, we couldnt see any difference to the naked eye, could you tell driving the car home at night chris?

And how good are the pics! haha cant get a quick iphone shot from a photographer i guess :)

I am not too sure to be honest, it was a blue bulb. The passenger bulb is blown though, so I will replace both.

would like to see a pic of the enitire front when it's done and look forward to read the tut. great stuff :)

I will post a quick shot tomorrow.

I gave Just Jap a call and they seem to be stripping an M35. Not too sure if its the same one.

Oh yeah, forgot to ask, does it adversely affect the light spread at all?

Not that I can tell. Drove home tonight and couldn't see any difference.

Cheers.

Chris.

mmmmmm could look good on my car... damn... more work..lol

you will never get rid of the gayness of your car Andy.....unless you buy my wheels!!!!

Ahhh...everyone wants their car to look like a S1 C34.... :(

Seriously though: looks great! Try www.halfcuts.com.au - I know they had a M35 or 2 floating around a couple of months ago...

I know I keep plugging these guys, but they're decently priced, and willing to keep bringing in plenty of Stagea goodies as long as they see a demand for it. Sorry if I sound like a constant advertisement, but it's for the greater good!!

Chris.

Can you please explain how you did that?

    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn

    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
    • Nah that is just crappy GPS mapping, I did have a small excursion (cold tyres, damp track, surprise!), will post up that when I get a chance.
