Welcome to the forums  nurr nurr Charlie! 21yr old female R34 owners are spawning everywhereeeeeeeee :)

PS HI!

I know lol.. we even have similar names!!! (Mine's Charlotte) *que x-files music*

Hi Everyone

Charlotte- Yay nice to meet another female owner, I haven't seen any other female owners so far, but I'm from Bendigo.

To everyone who LOLed at the title- Big emphasis on the age and and gender, I figured that would get a few people's attention, so people would comment so I could meet everyone.

Specs, Colour & Mods:

Specs: I can't find anything online much about the 25GT's pretty much everything I find is on the GT-T or the GTR's. I have the non turbo model because I'm on my green P's otherwise I probably would have gone for a turbo model. Redbook is pretty slack on specs as well, except for telling me that it is 17cms wider then a 1994 BMW 318I.

My car is totally stock at the moment, was previously owned by an Asian guy who had it imported, 120,000 KM's. 2.5 Lt engine (it's a 25 GT)

Colour: Metallic Silver

Interior: Grey Plastic with 2 tone Grey cloth interior

Rims: Stockies

Trans: Tip Automatic

Photos: None at the moment, I'll post some in the next few weeks.

Mods:

No mods so far (I've only had the car for 1 1/2 days) unles taking it to the car wash counts to remove the layers of grime and dirt (car was very dirty when I brought it, so I used it to get the price down) my car is in desperate need of a detailing, it's had no external love for quite a while but I have a few things planned. I had the car transferred into my name today, and now have slimline plates that are ***088 (my year of birth)

FUTURE MODS: I can't do anything to much to it, so all mods will be cosmetic because the cops are pretty bad in Bendigo and already stare at the P plate when I drive past....on the speed limit.

* Exterior Detailing, giving it a bit of TLC

*Sound System

* Hasn't got a rear spoiler at the moment so I'll be getting one of those

*Possibly a body kit

*Maybe silver dial rings

*Thinking about taking the sound matting from under the bonnet as it's a little hacked, and could do with a little more noise

* possibly a cannon if I can get away with it

*Mags

That's about as far as I've got in my thinking as of yet, would like to hear any other suggestions from you guys.

if you want it detailed by the best, take it to Final Inspection - www.finalinspection.com.au

you might find the cannon gets..... annoying and if you're worried about cops you might find a cannon is like dialing 000, they might not come straight away, but they'll get to your car eventually.

nice set of rims, lower it a touch and just keep it looking clean and tidy :)

Welcome Chantalle,

Always great to see another R34 lover :D

I've only had the car for a couple of days now but I'm liking it lots so far, except the out dated light grey around the shifter, needs more black less grey.

Although I'm unsure what the "Snow" setting is? is that like some sort of traction control?? (Haven't been able to find an answer online)

Assuming it was a 20DET auto Ceffy, even then, he'd have to have a heavy foot wouldn't he ?

That switch went bonkers in mine, stayed in second even when switch was on POWER, wouldn't use fourth, then intermittently would use first on decel, made corners unpredictable.

Thanks for the explanation guys. That might have come in handy over the last 2 days. I drove my car home from Melbourne on Tuesday night, Wednesday morning went to collect the mail and put my foot down (not heaps) without thinking (RWD+Heavy Rain= Spin)and was shocked (I've been driving FWD's now for the last 3 months while waiting for my BMW to be fixed)

he went from driving a camry to a 20DET so he had to learn about finer throttle control still. Also skinny stock tyres didn't help.

Yeah I remember how much I was freaking out when I first drove my r34 in the wet, gave to the beans on a straight stretch of road and had the back kick out on me. :( haha

That's most of the fun part of owning a skyline :P

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
