hi iv tryed all the wreckers in my area and no one will sell an actuator without the turbo

what my problem is im about to put on a 3" tubo back exhaust but for some reason the owner in japan put a 12psi actuator on so if i put the exhaust on my turbo will be booting too high for it to handle,

does anyone have or know of someone that has an r34 gtt standard turbo actuator that i can buy ?????, oh yeah im melbourne area !!

thanks for you help

Well i have one of Stagea S2 Neo motor,so if that`s any help ,iaam in Perth so if you want it let me KNOW ,

cheer`s Chuckie.

i dont need the motor but if your willing to sell me the turbo actuator ?? that will be great

couldnt you just put in a boost controller?

now my mate sugested that but my actuator is set to 12psi and it will go up to 14 psi when the exhaust goes on (well thats the general outcome with people on this site.but i was under the impressiong boost controller can only up the boost not drop it ???

People who put R32 (10psi) actuators on their R34 typically have their boost sit rock-solid on 10psi, so not sure that's true. I suspect it's more of a case with the factory 5psi actuators being overcome by the extra flow of a new exhaust which is why they flow higher, but maybe I'm wrong.

I'd be sticking with the current actuator and seeing how you go - replace it if it becomes an issue.

(And yes, boost controllers can only go as low as the wastegate actuator is)

yeah im going to do that i just want one spare (i know if its boosting to high just dont put the foot down all the way ) so if its too high i can take it easy untill i replace the actuator (if it changes boost )

thanks for the advice people hopefull i can still get hold of one (just incase )

just to be clear

R32 GTST actuator is 12psi

R33 GTST Manual actuator is 7psi

R33 GTST Auto actuator is 5psi

so fare chance i have a R32 GTST actuator at 12psi

so is it un common for a car in japan to have an upgraded actuator but not turbo ??

only reason i ask is because i havent pulled the pipe off to see ?

the common actuator upgrade we see is the R33 GTST with R32 actuator

thats the only common actuator change that im aware of

ie you wouldnt fit a 16psi actuator to R33 GTST turbo as the turbo cant safely flow that much

also look for std actuator specs for BNR34 and ER34 if anyone can measure/check or confirm them ?

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
