Recommended Posts

Are the lines in this GB are going to have ADR sleeve?

Yes of course :D The other guy was just asking regarding his lines that he purchased elsewhere.

So you have R32 GTST brake lines on there? I had a couple of mates with S13's with Skyline brakes on them and some bought S13 kits, other GTR kits so I was a bit confused with it all haha.

So latest list drawing towards an end.

Edited by PM-R33

haha i just want r32 gts-t brake lines , i dont kno why people go for the diff lines, silvia have a banjo fitting and skyline have a tapered thread fitting, completly diffrent but people still think ohh its a silvia i need silvia lines

the hard lines have the same threads but the calipers are diffrent so ill go for what calipers i have :D

cheers :)

Guys I know there were a couple of posts on here today that due to the server error are now gone. Can you please rewrite what you posted?

Ok, we have all 30 people for the group buy!

We will go with clear for the PVC tubing as can be seen in the photos from the old group. The majority of people are happy with the clear and honestly it does look the best (even though you can't really see the brake lines unless you bend down and look through the wheel). If any one really has a problem with getting clear send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.

I will send Hel the list of the kits that we need tomorrow night and they will start making them up. Once they are made up I will send through the money for the kits.

In the next 24 hours I will send every one my bank account details and a confirmation of the kit you require. PLEASE check that I have the correct kit listed for you and reply with your name and postal address. If it is wrong PM me straight away! If every one could transfer the money into my account by Monday 30th of August that will make everything go faster. If for some reason you can't get the money to me by Friday send me a PM and we can organise something.

Once the kits are made and the money for them is transferred to Hel, the kits will be sent to me via FedEX. I will then send the kits out to every one with Australia Express Post. I will PM every one with their unique tracking number and the kits should arrive to every one over night.

Any questions feel free to ask. The last one went pretty smoothly (minus a few delays) so I don't see any problems with this one ;)

If you missed the group buy and wanted in, PM me and if any one pulls out you can take their place.

Cheers every one

Phil

Thanks for the quick payments guys. I will continue sending through my bank account details to every one today. Didn't get to do many last night.

G`day Phil,

What was out come on these being used on STAGEA S2 as are line`s are 800mm+ ,

you did say that you would look & see if there any good ,

Cheer`s Chuckie.

If you have a look at the photos of the GTST,GTR,GTT lines I posted in the first group buy thread you will see that they are very similar.

The GTT lines and GTST lines are pretty much the same size with the only difference being the front lines had the 90 degree fitting. The problem is I can't give you an exact 100% answer. No one I spoke to knows much about Stageas and I have never worked on one. Have a look at my DIY install and compare it to the Stagea setup. You should be able to work it if the GTT/GTST kit will fit, I really don't see Nissan making the Stagea lines any different to the GTST/GTT. You are more than welcome to buy a set and try and make them fit. I just don't want to say "Yep they will fit" and then be wrong.

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
