Homebush is closer to what i was thinking. Little bay is really nice, but it's like an hour from home, more if there's shite traffic. There's water, there's some cool old dirty abandoned roads, some art and architecture and.... BEER. Also it's central. Maybe we can hit up little bay another time for a water/land shoot?

I'm keen for some beers and photos.

Sidd you love that place don't you lol.. That the same place we did the model shoot ages ago yeah?

We can always head out to my area on the beaches for something. Maybe shoot a few cars before sunset, take a few sunset shots, then take a few star trail shots or something?

Probably best to vote on a location.

Bring the girlfriends so you can drink more :P

I think a Car shoot followed by some landscape photos followed by XXXXXX Would be a good idea. Would be like an SAU workshop lol.

Lol little bay is easily an hour and a half for me.

Theres lots of industrial areas out there, lights from the stadiums and gritty stuff, good for car shoots. I don't know where half of them are though.

Might want to wait it out until the NRL finals are over also, or do it on a different day. Don't make it a final day lol.

On another note...

Just mucking around.

Lighting was two AB800's.

Lol 6. And this was the medium sized balloon.

I told the missus numerous times when to pop it, but she kept delaying or being too early.

But finally we got it. Not what i had in mind, but it was too late to keep mucking around :P

Yea its like taking water drop pictures.. You take so many and only a get a select few which turn out great.

So want to do an underwater shoot. Anyone know where i can hire out underwater housings??

I used to play around with water alot, but with video. We use high speed cameras at work. they shoot anything between 10,000 to 1 frame per second. It's good fun, yet to try anything with the camera though.

Shame you mentioned your misses, I was about to comment on how manly your hands are hahaha

bucks night tonight. should be good! >:P

Sidd, if we end up at mens or platinum we're talent scouts for a very large but unnamed publishing company :(

Wow! You thought about coming over for superlap from perth!?!?! Holy sh!t, dedicated much!

Anyway, here are a few muck around edits. All natural lighting. Just tweaked in photoshop. Obviously a few errors as i didn't spend a long time on them.

Got the 550D today :) problem is that CS3 for Mac doesn't recognise the newer CR2 files, wtf? I've got the latest RAW plugin, but nooo. Have to grab CS4 from work then.

Got a damn good price, considering it was Harvey Norman and all: 550D and the 18-55mm lens, 50mm 1.8 lens, 4 years warranty for cam and lenses, 2 Hoya UV filters (pitch 0.75) (one for each lens), a Hoya CPL filter, extra battery, 16Gb Sandisk Extreme, Inca tripod, and a Kata bag for 1863... very happy. Got home late so I've only got a few crappy shots, took one of my doggie though; shooting in full auto at the mo until I get a bit of time to play in the daytime with it. Nothing special, just my gorgeous doggy who's a bit drugged up cause we had to take him to the vet to get most of one of his nails cut off; he'd broken it and it was hanging :(

No photoshop (grumble, stupid CS3 and no CR2), just straight from cam (and resized).

Congrats Owen, hope you enjoy it.

Yep, you'll need CS4 or CS5... The thing with adobe is that when the newer cameras come out they only give out certain updates to camera raw etc.. until the new photoshop comes along and then any cameras released after that aren't supported by the old photoshop.. It sucks, but thats how they rake in the cash.

Enjoy all the new gear!

Meh, I need a holiday, so why not? Check out a new city and it certainly beats the V8 Supercars, not that we get them over here any more...

    • So, this shouldn't be such a mission, but there were a few tricks so I thought I'd post up a DIY for it. This was on a Q50 Red Sport but I doubt any other V37 model is very different (maybe just less steps for the intake heat exchanger hoses) I pulled the radiator out to flush it because the car was running hot at the track, but obviously the same steps apply for changing a radiator for any reason including an upgrade. If you are removing the radiator, you of course need to drain and refill, so have 5+ litres of blue coolant ready. You don't need to drain the intake heat exchanger to remove the radiator but depending on your plans you may need a couple of litres for that as well. You will also need something to deal with the auto transmission lines, I used 2x 8mm rubber caps on the radiator side, and a short length of 8mm pipe on the car side.....unless you can block these lines quickly you will loose AT fluid and it may be enough to hurt the transmission if you don't refill it. Other than that....lets go... "First, jack up your car". Yes really, and put it safely on stands. If you are not confident doing that you need to give this job to a mechanic
    • If the forester is anything like our old 2007 GTB Liberty, I could near on run ling Long's and "rate them", as no matter what, it just hung to the road, even when abusing it in a hard launch in the wet, or throwing it at corners.
    • LOL, all of the CAI like Craig I just need to put a hole saw through my bumper Done and dusted, the car runs, which is nice, I'll take it for a spin when the weather clears up Just need to put the bumper back on for good
    • Brooooo Please send ABS control unit schematic Please! R33 gts25t ABS (Its two plug ecu, black and white) wire colors possible? [email protected]
    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
