how much did it cost you to fix it all up ?

Lost count....heres a quick run down from the top of my head

$2000 front

$1300 new bonnet

$1000 new front chassis rails

$450 new K frame

$110 new condensor fan shroud

$450 new left fender

$1000 paint materials

$1000 various new parts from nissan(windscreen moulds, full badge set, bonnet hinges, metal fender mounts, assorted bolts/fasteners and heaps of other crap

$2000 used parts...airflow meters,airbox assembly,radiator,condensor,aircon compressor+aircon pipes,airbags+module,dash pad,seatbelts,lower control arms plus heaps of small stuff

stuff that i have saved/repaired from the car are Driveshafts, right hand fender and left hand door was repaired,i broke the centre housing of front turbo but i had a spare one and had to buy a replacement compressor wheel $200....some of the engine pulleys were damaged so i made some up....the engine had shifted about 30 degrees to the right therefore smashing a hole in the GReddy inlet manifold(it hit the brake booster)Just welded it up and linished it back.

Other stuff i have added on are not really smash related such as engine parts etc with the exception of a Trust intercooler which was needed but i spose i didnt really need an aftermarket jobby......Oh and beleive it or not i managed to save the original front bumper cover!A friend had a good left hand side and i had a good right,so i cut it in half and welded it togetherI guess i have spent roughly 10k??I have been rather anal in assembling replacing stuff thats only scratched or dirty bolts ect

best 10k that ever got spent on a car I reckon... hey troy, quick question, are you covered by insurance on the repairs seeing as it was the merc's (i think it was a merc, not sure) fault right?

Man no offense but i dont think you smashed into a merc. you prob smashed into a tree or something but anyway its funny how you said he pays his i pay mine. no insurence company works like that. from the top of my head and many others. who evers fault it is REPAIRS anything damaged to both people.

for example if i get my corolla and runinto a lambo. he pays for his repairs and i walk away with a damaged up corolla ? hmm wierd man no offense!

Looks like Magnum PI here has found me out.....i staged the whole thing......we may even get an oscar for our perfomance,Thanks for trying to cover for me james and monkey....sorry to deceive you all :)

i didnt fix it,i wished really hard for santa to take it away and put it on his caroliner and give it a bit of a tug for me,but he was too busy. However the aliens abducted it and it came back like new

Duck dodgers also came back from the 24th and a half century and installed a few elctronic gadgets :)

got the software, gettin a powerFC (got access to one for testing as well) need to make an interface for PowerFC to computer for software to us. Do you know much about Excel workshops in japan and the equipment they use? Or know anyone that can get me info on how to make an interface?

gohan i did get your pms, sorry i been a bit busy lately....however what your asking is a only a one off job for me and i would have to charge you a large sum....i understand more people may want the products but i am really not that interested in trying to get money out of people as most people want stuff done for a bowel of rice these days! Not saying you do,just not interested in making moulds and modifying them for such a job and then trying to work them

    • Been a long time since r31 got some love, my brother dropped a shitbox ls1 crapadore in my lap to fix up.  Put a wiper motor in as the flooded one was no longer alive.  got windscreen wipers now. Time to clean respray and install back in the titanic  IMG_0505.mov
    • Nah its a server spammer thing  Although, now that I manually approve all the accounts I can probably loosen up some of the restrictions.
    • Thread bump, again! Although, no bad news this time. Posting for the sake of possible root cause. Basically, I rebuilt it (mostly stock), installed Haltech + sensors, had it running fine on new ECU.  Still not really understanding why it cracked pistons last time. Got to tuners, and while checking timing, noticed +-10deg of timing scatter while revving. Changed CAS, and it was rock solid. While not definitive, can't imagine seeing 20+ psi with that amount of scatter would be a good thing. Also glad I found something.   Bit more of a run down; Carried out a stock rebuild, a set of stock pistons, out of a spare bottom end. Everything stock apart from head studs and oil restrictors. (so I can pretend I didn't let the Nissan out, ha.) Armed with the measuring gear and FSM, set about doing overhaul. Oil restrictors as per oil control thread for a RB25, stock oil pump, drifting. Head drain/vent from rear of head, to passenger side of sump above oil level. Two dash 10 vent lines from drivers side of sump (unused atm) Hi octane style cam cover breather kit Splash covers over last 2 cam caps. Both breather lines from cam covers to vented to atmosphere catch can, not plumbed back into sump (wanted to see what it was actually breathing). Got it run in (did about a 1000km) no to low boost scenario, As I had questions over old ECU setup. Installed haltech +sensors for flex Retune on E85 (finding CAS Issue along the way), made 300rwkw at 20psi, out of wastegate. Did a drift day the next day (yes, it was a big weekend!) and was checking catch can throughout the day, ZERO blowby. I mean nothing. Lines from cam covers are not even wet. Done a bunch of street driving, spirited and catch can is still dry. Early days I guess, but pretty happy so far. Also now run 10w60, up from the 10w40 that I used to run. Oil pressure is significantly better, especially when hot (as you would expect)
    • Thanks buddy. I thought it was a server storage thing. 🤣
