Oh, I was at a group dinner with your dad and Terry on Friday night, and he mentioned something about someone being pulled over by the po-po, and them enquiring about how a black Volvo could accelerate so fast, is that the case? :P

Rofl...I'm going to kill him....yes they were going in the opposite direction when I popped out and opened it up to get away from 2 fools....did he mention that the guy I was trying to get away from had an accident 300m away from when I was?

i once got followed by po-po on the way home, wasn't speeding but did took roundabouts faster than other cars...was still driving the civic (got coilovers)...

they followed me to my house, parked their car in my driveway and when i came out of the car, i told them to wait 5 mins as i was desperate to do number 2...lady cop was pretty nice to let me do my business (after i convinced her that we were in front of my house) and checked my licence while i was doing my businesswhistling.gif

long story short, once my business is done, i had to listen to her quick speech about not taking corners/roundabouts too fast pinch.gif, no fines luckily...

thats what ive never been able to understand. if someone in a ferrari did the same thing, is it ok because the car is designed to handle?

whats classified as taking off too fast? i was almost done for that in QLD, but talked my way out of it. so i got a ticket for an exhaust that was too loud. never paid the fine. got so many notices saying they will cancel my licence and rego. lol this was before some states could actually do that!

In response to your Ferrari question, I would say yes... but then again I think logically (most of the time).

Law makers would say no (but they implement changes only considering how much money they can make).

I was pulled over for taking off too fast a couple of years ago...

I just asked what I did wrong officer? You accelerated much too quickly

Did I spin my wheels? No

Did I speed? This is a 70 zone isn't it? No, you weren't speeding and yes this is a 70 zone.

Did I endanger any other road users? Anything could have happened at your rate of acceleration

And what happened? You were pulled over before anything could happen

Excuse me, but I was already at my intended speed before you pulled me over. Is there anything more I can do for you? Queue lecture on the dangers of "speeding" etc etc :no:

      Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?

      Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
