good point. NSW state series has been on a few times, but they want $40k+ per round to televise it (12 minutes).

Aus GT and Aus Prod cars will have most rounds televised on either oneHD, 7 mate or SBS/speedweek. Aus GT was on the other day from Phillip Island including the Merc SLS, Vipers, Lambos, Porkers. They are worth watching ;)

Yeah, that's a series I want to watch.

hmm... seems the best place is on Pay TV (SPEED) :(

Aus GT Bathurst covered in 30mins on 7Mate? Man, takes me back to when Touring Cars were briefly covered on a late Sunday arvo with Sandy Roberts giving the breakdown.

Which is why we talk to a lot of series about webcasting. It's cheaper and can provide more of a connection to the fans. But you don't get the casual viewers so much, concentrates on the hardcore.

Hey all, just wanted to throw this out there & get some reviews.

Thinking of purchasing the Clarion VZ400A head deck with 7" flip screen & a heap of features, the local audio shop has it discounted for $549. RRP around $799

Check it out here, let me know what you think.

Cheers

I have one of those, so I can help you.

What did you want to do with it? I have two issues with mine...

When the iPod is connected via USB I can't use AV-IN

After having issues, I've now found out you need a special video cord to watch video on the iPod

That's pretty much it. Other than that its pretty good and integrates everything pretty well. I'm fairly happy with it, but those two issues give me the shits.

Well they kindof have the idea right.......... just need to make it little bit longer.... and a little bit flatter... COME ON NISSAN!!! :D

pretty sure this is going to be a production mini-SUV from one of the various source (s)

Yeah saw the other thread in the motoring section. I don't actually think it's that ugly, but I Also don't know how big it is... are we talking GTiR MkII or Murano?

only you would want that mental image in your head..

you gay light blue fairy lol

lol, nice try but as I've told you before I can control what I envision mentally... thankfully.

Just because I think it, doesn't mean I see it.

And before you say it, no I didn't and no I won't.

I'm pretty sure they stated it's going to be based on the Quashqi or whatever it's called overseas, which is what we see here in Australia as the Murano.

Isn't Quashqi called Dualis here? So like a hatchback a bit bigger than a Tiida, except on stilts?

I dont have an iPod(yet) so no prob there. I've just been after a flip screen for a while & this seemed to be a decent option for the $$$. I liked the fact that I can sinc my phone with it.

For the Nismo awesome club- Not really an ideal fitment, but better than stock. good if your std height. Cheap too!

    • I know I have to get a wheel alignment but until then I just need to bring the rear tyres in a bit they're wearing to the belt on the inside and brand new on the outside edge. I did shorten the arms a bit but got it wrong now after a few klms the Slip and VDC lights come on. I'd just like to get it to a point where I can drive for another week or two before getting an alignment. I've had to pay a lot of other stuff recently so doing it myself is my only option
    • You just need a wheel alignment after, so just set them to the same as current and drive to the shop. As there are 2 upper links it may also be worth adding adjustable upper front links at the same time; these reduce bump steer when you move the camber (note that setting those correctly takes a lot longer as you have to recheck the camber at each length of the toe arm, through a range of movement, so you could just ignore that unless the handling becomes unpredictable)
    • I got adjustable after market rear camber arm to replace the stock one's because got sick of having to buy new rear tyres every few months. Can anyone please let me know what the best adjustment length would be. I don't have the old ones anymore to get measurements. I'm guessing the stock measurement minus a few mm would do it. Please any help on replacing them would be fantastic I've watched the YouTube clips but no-one talks about how long to set the camber arm to.
    • Heh. I copied the link to the video direct, instead of the thread I mentioned. But the video is the main value content anyway. Otherwise, yes, in Europe, surely you'd be expected to buy local. Being whichever flavour of Michelin, Continental or Pirelli suits your usage model.
    • Continental have consistently beaten the absolute shit out of every other performance tyre in Wet/Damp/Cold conditions and give up a little bit of time (half a second at most) in the dry. Almost like it's engineered for German conditions or something. I'd def give those a try.
