What did they want to hit you for a PWR cooler? Even the repco "V8" auto trans cooler kit is only $110 and it uses a PWR core.

Everyone who works at Repco reckons they work on race cars; especially when they can't find parts for your car.

Ebay is your friend for a little cooler; trust me...

PWR was 'on sale' for ~$90. Funny thing was, he told me to go and look at the PWR web site, but the one he was talking to me about wasn't on there...

So how small can we go to do the job? I'd reckon it doesn't need to be half as big as the trans cooler to be OK, considering we don't have one at all.

Then i started wondering if a larger one (trans cooler size or even bigger) mounted out of the front airflow (a bit tight for space there) would radiate enough heat to be effective?

Nismo PM35 cooler is only a couple of inches longer. I don't think it'll have to be too big. My biggest concern was issues from it being too big.

I'm running an Falcon EF transcooler for my power steering with a thermostat....will be fine.

Nah, I'm more interested in getting something new. Probably this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/130481576673?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

So in Jethro's case.... driving past with low & too much tint... a criminal act?? I reckon he had a good case to tell them to get of his property.

Hmmm, bit late to do that!

Something tells me there's nothing much I can do...I mean, I couldn't park in my garage because another car in there...so the copper had a good walk around my car (parked on my property) and wrote up a defect notice...

Are you sure they cannot enter people's property at will? I understand they can't barge into a house, but front yard/driveway...

hmm interesting read: http://www.trafficlaw.com.au/your.rights.html

I think since I was driving on a "highway" and commited a crime with my "dangerously lowered and tinted car", the police have reasonably cause to enter my property to look at the car...well, I guess they could've just looked at it from the roadside...

So many lies in that ad it hurts me.

More over, isnt Dannys this one http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/389382-had-an-accident-today-no-insurance/ ? The license plate starts with BE, it looks to have Brembo brakes and the exhaust has twin tips (Obviously different wheels). Id say its just a repeating ad they havent taken down.

probably a dealer advertising cars they dont have so people will go there, when they ring they say 'ohh yeah it just sold'

So, just bought the replacement for the stagea. Dont laugh!

Got it brand new, collect Friday.

147KW petrol with DSG. Mines a sedan, not a wagon shown in this pic. Same colour!

My girlfriends old man has the wagon, perhaps a slightly older model though (had it for over a year) - nice car though! Ridiculously economical to run too, I couldn't believe the mileage he gets on the thing

A definite possibility.

did he get the oil burner? 1 year old is the same shape, the older shape has squarish headlights

He's never mentioned burning oil, it looks to be the same shape - wasnt sure exactly how new to the market it was when he got it  The seats aren't anywhere near as comfy as the M35 ones imho though! :nyaanyaa:

i have to admit the M35 seats are friggen comfy!! leather FTW :)

i couldnt stretch the budget to full leather, the standard leather/fabric trim is pretty nice.

i just found out it has a DVD player!

    • Didnt realise RB's had more then 1 head.
    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
