Hi all,

I finally managed to get my dream.

Bought it off the first owner in Oz, he had it for 2 years. It has 101,000 KM's on it, has had its 100,000km service, timing belt done etc.

Unmodified except pod's and turbo timer.

Wheels are next on the agenda!! After the bank account recovers though. LOL

Took these pic's with my mobile, will take some better ones with a camera and post them.

Congratulations Eric, as it looks in great nick.

Slept in it yet? :) More foot room in the rear than the other GT-Rs!

God_speed has one with about the same no. of Kms > about to sell his soon > 100kKm service done too.

Looks good mate enjoy your ride! I've loved mine ever since I've owned it. take it on some nice twisty roads you'll appreciate it even more. Cheers.

Thanks Nathan.

Yeah, I have only had it for a couple of days and love it already. Already took it on a decent run, feels very different through the corners, smooth. My Foz isn't too bad at cornering either! :)

congrats on the purchase man, very nice and very clean looking r33. Imo, go the TE's in bronze :D . Btw, you might wanna fix your profile coz you wrote R34 GT-R in the cars owned section after (dream). Unless you mean you now own a R33 as well as a R34 which in that case just makes me incredibly jealous lol

Maybe it's better to pay more and get TE37 !! :(

someone posting pictures they know nothing about.

If you saw what the EVO did in the before that - you'd hardly be surprised the rim ended out like that.

Several users here have run them FINE on the circuit for quite some time now without any issue at all.

Thanks all.

Really love this car now....I'm hooked! Hahaha.

motor is making a slight tapping noise, but from what I read on these forums the RB26DETT has a slight tapping noise. Freaked me out at first, then read the info on here and it calmed me down.

    • Another vote for installing them and see how you go.  I mean, you already own them, why would you not fit them?
    • I have had too many of those over the years, my cars have a toolkit or at minimum a cheapy multi tool thing because its too easy to be snookered by some stupid plastic clip that stops you checking the battery terminal isn't loose.
    • Basically, if there is a part# on the nissan catalogue, it is a genuine part. There is a thing called "new old stock" which is stuff made years ago but never sold (or landfilled), but it is super hit and miss what you can buy. Other than some expensive Nismo stuff there is nothing new being made that suits these cars. The only time to be a little careful is (mostly in the US I think, but maybe Japan too), Nissan started rebranding some cheap crap maintenance parts like oil filters as "Pitworks"; stay away from them, if you are buying cheap just buy whatever the local car parts shop carries The three part numbers have an explanation on Amayama: 0V005 is auto, base style 0V015 is manual 0V505 is auto, hectic momo branded ones, maximum F&F points there!

    • Just to get this straight if you turn the splined shaft to the outside, it turns freely but the chain does not move? What happens when you move the chain, does the splined shaft turn? Surely the shaft is snapped, or the chain is seized and it took the teeth off whatever great is behind the steel bracket
