Its that time of year again and the Fairfield City Council "Bring it On - Youth Festival" is on again. Sunday 4th April 2004 @ Fairfield Showground (where Small Car Sunday is held)

As per last year, I am helping out with the car exhibition section of the festival and seeking expressions of interest to display your modified vehicle.

There will also be music, food, entertainment, info sessions etc etc on the day as well as 'Levi' from Aust Idol performing live.

Last years festival saw over 4000 people attend in 1 day. Last years winner of the car exhibition was the Black TT Supra "MPRESV" owned by the girlfriend of a f4s forum member.

As part of this years program we are trying to focus on responsible

ownership and driving of vehicles which will hopefully also include workshops providing legal advice on vehicle modification. As well as information from police who are also supporting the festival. The Police STI is also expected to be in attendance. Last years event went off without a hitch and this years is looking to be even bigger.

There is no charge to have your vehicle displayed on the day and prizes will be awarded through peoples choice voting system.

I will provide entry form details asap pending on interest/suitability.

Cheers.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!!

Holy chit, that's one of the funniest things I have ever read!!!1

:P:) :)

I would be interested, maybe we could have a SAU - NSW section with a bunch of Skyzers and info on the club as well as our new club banner and info on how to get cars to tracks etc!

Let me know... my car aint that pretty, but it does have that skyline appeal!

Levi is one of the 10 finalists from Australian Idol. Known for his RnB. :headspin:

As it is a 'car expo' as part of the Youth Festival, vehicles on display do need to be modified to some extent. Even if its just a combo of paint/kit n wheels.

Last year we had a few of your members participate in the show n shine, hopefully we can have some more of you back this year :P .

ATTENTION ALL INTERESTED ENTRANTS!!

All definates for the car show event of the festival please PM me so I can organise your preliminary registration forms so that the FESTIVAL COMMITTEE can begin to get an idea of final numbers.

We will have cars from SILVIA NSW, FAST 4s and non forum associated cars also.

This will be a good day as was last years event

:)

I should be interested for this one mate as long as the day is free for me (april is a fair way away to plan things)

keep me informed

I have PM'd you the Preliminary registration form.

Quite a few cars are entering and looks like it will be a big one :D

Not at all :D You prob wouldnt have to be there till around 11am or so, Festival doors open at 1pm to the public. You will be out of there by around 7 or 8pm latest.

If you dont want to stay all day, best to leave your keys with someone who will be there all day ie a friend of yours or other competitor or myself or other Festival / car show supervisor. Reason being, it is held in an open area of the showground, last year when it looked like it was going to rain, we were forced to moved the cars under cover.

Registration forms available via PM :uh-huh:

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
