Hey guys, bought a power fc and still haven't received it. It should've arrived sometime last week already as the seller mentioned he posted it as soon as i paid for it which was monday last week. I've been trying to contact him as well and doesn't seem to be picking up any of my calls I'm getting a bit worried as I've been scammed before. I went to the bank to kindly contact the person but they said it's not their responsibility to notify the person. If worsts comes to worst and still haven't received it this week, i've probably been scammed again. My question is, can i retract my money from the bank, I still have my receipt proving it was me who made the deposit.

-thanks.

That's why I try and use PayPal where possible, and get them to use Registered mail. (If they don't post it, can always claim within 42 days).

Where did you buy it off?

(Also, I advise that you use the word "advice" :))

i thought was rather safe, went to the bank verified if it was the correct person, and the money is still in the bank just that the contact number is incorrect apparently. hahah yeah i used the term "advise" was thinking of the verb instead of the noun Lol was just too lazy to edit the title. I guess i would have to go to the cops so they can grab the details from the bank not sure if it's gonna be much use though...

Have you googled the number? I always start there, especially when money is involved with people I never dealt with before.

Ask the cops what to do as he has frauded you and you have his number and proof of money being deposited... they can look up who owns the number and look up who owns the bank account. It is only a few phone calls and minimal paper work to do that.

Otherwise pray that it comes (which it still might) maybe he is flying it in from overseas and just reselling it ect... a million legit and dogey reasons, but a couple of weeks isn't much time

Have you tried putting your mobile phone on the private function , so your number doesn't show up on his phone when you call him . Then he might answer his phone if he doesn't know it's you . Worth a try i think !!

I've used many different phone numbers to contact him, and yes as well as private. When i went to the bank to verify the number i have to see if it matches the number registered on their system and the person serving me said that it was a totally different number. Went to the cops said they can't really call up the bank and request for the personal details whilst the bank told me otherwise, told me to go to the cops for them to request the personal details from the bank. I know it hasn't been that long but like if the seller called me to remind me and check up on me if i have deposited the funds on the day. After i've deposited it, I called him to confirm that i have deposited the funds into his account which he then said he'll post it in an hour. I called him the day after, had to call him few times for him to pick up then when he picked up I asked if he posted it he said yes.

So like if it was posted on monday, should've received it friday or early time this week. He hasn't been picking up any of my calls since. Just like my previous experience earlier this year as well, when i bought an iPhone said it was posted express. express doesn't take 2 weeks == never heard from the guy again after 2 days as well. fml. Lol

lol i can pm the number if they want. i like googled it up and it's some stuff in qld.

Didn't I tell you to google it, google catches nearly everyone out, now you have a place to search and entrap him. The number may come up as a business, usually found in the classifieds, it is the best when this happens and you then find the same guy trying to sell his car on carsales, go out to view the car and demand your money back or you'll beat him to a pulp, true story, google is great and bad at the same time.

It is getting harder for the scammers and crims to make a living these days with instant access to information.

    • An update regarding the registration with the DVLA I sent off the paperwork the day after I collected the car from the port, two weeks later it was all returned with a letter explaining they have rejected the application. This was because the cheque was £20 short for the road tax (I used a price list I found online). Nevermind it is what it is, it was sent back to them the following day with a new cheque. Fast forward another 2 weeks or so, I called them for an update to be told it had been rejected. Yesterday (16th September) I received the documents back along with another letter, this time it was because I didn't put an X in one box on the V750 (personalised number plate certificate), which declared that I had the rights to the personalised number plate. Why this wasn't mentioned in the first rejection letter, I don't know, but it could have saved this headache. The documents were sent back today, so fingers crossed third times a charm and it'll FINALLY be registered on the road just in time for the bad weather (woohoo!) To cheer myself up I lowered the front 25mm, was sick of seeing it sit like a monster truck. No idea how much clearance I'll have getting on and off the driveway, I'll worry about that when I can actually drive it
    • You're going to miss not worrying about rust in the strut towers like the Skyline shitboxes out there
    • A few little updates that weren't filmed due to not taking long to do or not interesting enough for their own video. My new K&N Air Filter arrived, I went with an RU-4180 which matched the dimensions of the universal cone filter the car originally had.  The battery had gone flat, while that was charging I tidied up the spaghetti wiring at the bulk head and down the sides of the engine Next job was to swap the stereo The Kenwood harness had the female ISO plugs cut off and the male ISO plugs cut off the adaptor loom and joined with bullet connectors. I ordered in a repair loom through work and re-did it all. New Kenwood unit installed (Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth, Reverse Camera) The bonnet/hood gas struts have been poor since collecting the car. I couldn't find any suitable replacements locally so took a chance on a pair from AliExpress.  The originals don't use a retaining clip to secure the cup onto the ball fixture, would explain why I struggled for 10-15mins trying to pry off the cups. The ball fixtures unscrew using a 12mm spanner, new ones are the same size. Sadly no photo of them fitted, you're not missing much lol The dished Momo steering wheel got replaced with my Momo Tuner, turns out I ordered counter sunk bolts for the horn trim ring (like they normally are for the steering wheel) instead of allen cap (flat seat)  A terrible photo of a Quaife style gear shift knob I've had stashed in my tool box for many years after purchasing the incorrect thread size (I can see a pattern emerging with ordering incorrect parts...) Also threw in a cup holder and a (empty) Boss Coffee can, because why not
    • GT-R clearly the better choice! The 300 is certainly not insaly fast but has a decent amount of poke. Does a nice little drift around the corners with a decent amount of throttle. It's VERY predictable in a slide too.  Feels so progressive! People probably presume there's a 25 year old driving it based on my behaviour this week! 🤣
    • Yeah Jap import. Fairlady Z then! I'm a bit the same.  They've been on my radar for a fair while but then just impulsively decided to buy one!  Was going to just buy an NA and add turbos to it later but decided to save the f'ing around and just buy the turbo version.
