Hello.

This is my first time posting and i feel a little silly.

I drive an r34 and unfortunately i do not know a lot about it. My boyfriend was the one who knew what to do, where to go, what to buy and he is not longer in my life.

I would be very grateful to find someone that would be willing to help me out. Be happy to answer any stupid questions i have or help me with problems, especially someone in the Launceston area.

I don't want to have to sell it because i love driving it and i don't want to have to ask the ex for help. Plus i don't want to be that stupid girl that knows nothing about her car.

I would greatly appreciate any help.

P.s Project Dark Winter was the log in that my ex created forever ago, not sure how to change it :(

Welcome to the forum PWD, as the others have already pointed out don't be afraid to ask questions but 99% of the time the answer is already on the forum so remember to use the search function.

There are plenty of places in Launceston that specialise in Imports & Performance cars and countless threads here in the Tassie section regarding that topic and the topic of tuning so maybe read a few of them to bring yourself upto speed.

As for the name change, post here with your request :rofl2:

and thanks to other people that reminded me why i will probably never post anything again.

I so new it was going to come to this!!!

I have a copy of the r34 manual on disc if you like, after a while you get to know who is who on these forums and most of the guys are just having a bit of fun

and I am sure if you ask a question they would all love to help.

I use Rons Automotive for all major things or for stuff i just cant be bothered doing, He is always willing to help out and will do a good job at a good price,

and thanks to other people that reminded me why i will probably never post anything again.

Most people on here are helpful... Unfortunately select few are yet to grow up.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Also remember the R34 is going to be no more difficult than any other car to maintain, And i'd rather spend money on maintaining a car i like and enjoy driving like the 34.

My mum actually drives a moddified R33 gts-t and has learnt the basics about it, knows enough to get her by.

...Welcome by the way :action-smiley-069:

Don't let immature comments from some members put you off . Its an enthusiast community after all , regardless of one's sex!

i forgot the internets is serious business.

But seriosly if you start a thread build around the fact that your a girl (recently single at that) on a male based forum you will get people posting things like "are you hot", "pics or gtfo"..etc. It's only meant for a laugh

If you have an issue with your car, and need help, just search or ask. There are heaps of blokes who know nothing about cars, so being a recently single girl is irrelivant.

And most of all, have a laugh

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
