so i have sent my address, and once i recieve some, ill let u all know, get some details off the poeple that want them... simon, battery, arthur.. and others, depending on how many come in the mail(i asked for around 10) :D

This ever happen?

Plus Battery any chance of getting some vids up of performance? Would be keen to see some 3000rpm pulls in 4th to see when you get 15psi (same as my video) :)

One is internal gate one is external gate?? . go the t67 btw

theyre both internal gate.

the ext gate one i posted was just for reference to see if anyone managed to fit it in low mount.

T67 is a beyond 300kw+ turbo and is way more then i want so the extra lag is not needed.

These days it seems increasingly hard to beat a hypergear turbo. These SS turbos are nuts.

The kando's are actually better for more specific applications, like the T67 for big power like what Simon has shown. The 20g is yet to make its mark with anyone, we are still waiting on results from a couple of members (previously including me). Jap dynos have shown 12cm 20g's to crank close to 300kw and stand up stronger than a 3071.. Now we are working with 10cm housings which really have no restriction in seeing 300kw, so the results should be interesting. Certain well regarded tuners have also shown interest in results from the combo, it should be good.

Downside is you need a gate, whereas with HG its all bolt on. I think there will always be tradeoffs between the two, and Stao is limited by the internal gate.. Yet if working on a budget they are both viable, however if stealth fitment is a desired option, the tradeoff (expected to be small) to a HG would be worth it.

What if someone tried one of these?

That'd probably give things a bit of a shake up - especially if FP were extra nice and put one of their 68HTA cold sides onto one :)

have anyone here tried this?

would the 12cm be too laggy on a RB25 NEO?

looking for a unit that can be low mounted as i want to avoid the high mount path.

also cant tell the difference between the two apart from the $200 price difference?

target goal is anywhere from 290-300 (more is a bonus) i believe the t67 that simon has would be too laggy for me, so the TD06 would be ideal.

RB25DET NEO

built bottom end

has all supporting mods already.

PULP only, no E85 here

currently running a twin turbo setup but looking for more power and just weighing up costs for upgrading twins VS single big low mount. (So far the low mount ends up cheaper but it is for the turbo to be high mounted which im trying to avoid)

ideally i would like this one but not sure if it'll fit in low mount position?

the last one u listed is the one I have its a tiny turbo and will low mount very easily with a 10mm spacer. Plus you need to plug in a gate somewhere.. i got it because apparently the internal gated ones are no good..

If i ever get my car back from the panel beater I will fit it and tell you how much power it makes..

btw I got it for 700 as well so make em an offer ;)

The actual trust 20G for a 1JZ comes in a 12cm job, which is what i based my decision to get one from. They did not appear to be laggy yet I was dubious.

For the price of the housing swap I think its worth a go. There is a version with the rear housing uncapped and a 5 or 6 bolt outlet (not the single exit 3 bolt outlet).

However from what I have seen the trust IW item was the 3 bolt item (with the WG flapper not direct flow).

Ive considered these time and time again... The front housing on that one is the trust spec housing but no idea what rear housing its got. If its 10cm its probably the item to have.

I am however even thinking a TD05H-18G would be good (Y) they are not shy on power even in small housings. Get one in a 10cm and your laughing.

Yeh im sooo lazy... I tested a while back but i can't remember the results!

Picked up a greddy gauge with peak/warning to replace my stuffed HKS so ill hook that up soon and set it at 1 bar then test it again.

As much as I hate to say it the Hypergear things are starting to look pretty attractive if your after Internal gate options.

i ran a ext gate right off the rear housing on my old turbo, might do it again if the td06 can be low mounted - appears it can be according to ARTZ post (look forward to pics when u get your car back mate :D)

perhaps i can get a custom low mounted manifold with ext gate opening on it.

ideally id like it low mounted and to have near 300rwkw.

hypergears do look very good however not many ppl are pushing over 280 with their turbos on PULP so its hard to see some decent results with the ATR43G3 apart from Staos personal development car.

300rwkw and low mounted would be the perfect setup imo :D

the middle one is ext gate? . Wouldn't you rather a turbo with plenty of headroom for more power instead of ringing its neck to make the power?

GT3076 with internal gate off stock manifold?

No because that means extra lag for no good reason?

cant get the 3076 for $900 now can ya :P

my ideal setup would be the td06sl2 10cm on a low mount custom manifold with ext gate.

the hks cast low mount manifold would be perefct but theyre rare...

wow, i just found out that 6boost do the low mount custom jobby with ext gate. WIN!

Td06L2 10cm t2 housing pulled 302rwkw today at the shop, all round nice setup.... for 900 hucks.

got mod list & dyno sheet trent?

More info PLEASE! I'm prepared to beg.

Graph too if you can. Thanks in advance mate :whistling:

Yeah I nearly bought the one (HKS mani) in for sale the other day cause I have an old HKS gate to suit, probably should of but i dont have alot of faith in second hand cast parts I cant see before I buy :(

now I will have to weld it onto the housing ghetto style too, doubt i can afford the 6boost low mount atm..howmushizzit??

Actually if i sell my old turbo..hmm

    • Bit of a pity we don't have good images of the back/front of the PCB ~ that said, I found a YT vid of a teardown to replace dicky clock switches, and got enough of a glimpse to realize this PCB is the front-end to a connected to what I'll call PCBA, and as such this is all digital on this PCB..ergo, battery voltage probably doesn't make an appearance here ; that is, I'd expect them to do something on PCBA wrt power conditioning for the adjustment/display/switch PCB.... ....given what's transpired..ie; some permutation of 12vdc on a 5vdc with or without correct polarity...would explain why the zener said "no" and exploded. The transistor Q5 (M33) is likely to be a digital switching transistor...that is, package has builtin bias resistors to ensure it saturates as soon as base threshold voltage is reached (minimal rise/fall time)....and wrt the question 'what else could've fried?' ....well, I know there's an MCU on this board (display, I/O at a guess), and you hope they isolated it from this scenario...I got my crayons out, it looks a bit like this...   ...not a lot to see, or rather, everything you'd like to see disappears down a via to the other side...base drive for the transistor comes from somewhere else, what this transistor is switching is somewhere else...but the zener circuit is exclusive to all this ~ it's providing a set voltage (current limited by the 1K3 resistor R19)...and disappears somewhere else down the via I marked V out ; if the errant voltage 'jumped' the diode in the millisecond before it exploded, whatever that V out via feeds may have seen a spike... ....I'll just imagine that Q5 was switched off at the time, thus no damage should've been done....but whatever that zener feeds has to be checked... • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
