first things first read the rb25 dyno sheets thread

second thing what power figures are you lookin for

thirdly are you on a budget if so what budget

but it mainly comes down to what power your after like i said read the rb25 dyno sheets thread alot of pages i know but worth reading through it

what do you use the car for?

how much can you afford?

what are your power goals?

what are your response goals?

rb25 turbo upgrade thread... have you read it? :)

LOL

This would be THE most asked question on this forum.

Even on the same page as this thread is:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/348743-3076r-for-270rwkw/page__st__20

Otherwise please do a search, people on this forum and very helpful but you need to do some of the work yourself.

Also, look through the RB25 dyno results thread.

I'm feeling nice today. Instead of telling you that you are a dickhead for asking the most asked question on this forum, and the particular forum having 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 post and threads about turbo choices, I'll link you to a post that I have made recently to help someone.

THis should give you enough information.

If you don't like the size of the turbo, check the thread at the top of the forced induction forum with all kinds of turbos and results.

Wouldn't de-turboing a GTST for P-Plates be the most asked?

i had a hks gt2535 on my last one, the previous owner tried multiple turbos on it he tried the 2530 and the 2540 but ended up sticking with the 2535.

i had power fc, hks front mount, full racepace exhaust from turbo back, big pump, fpr and it mate around 258 - 262rwkw on 14psi.

shed blew a few flames out the back aswell hehe. for the street i thought it was perfect as i even passed an epa with the turbo on it, just had to rub out the hks on the actuator and change the exhaust, that was running a standard air filter with an aftermarket panel filter.

as they said, depends what your after and what state your in.

High flow your stock turbo for about a thousand bucks, then get it retuned. 250rwkw from your current 190ish.

You will have it all done for about $2000. Anything else will cost you twice as much at a minimum.

Spending say $4000 will net you 270-330rwkw, any more will require more money (your injectors are maxed at this point). This would be with a 3071/3076/3582 garrett.

hey guys thanks heaps for the advice.. on a budget of about $2500 and as for power goals i want to reach atleast 270 rwkw... has anyone checked out the site www.turbokits.com ?? they seem to have decent turbos on there for around the $1200 mark why not just buy one from them????

They dont have any bolt on turbo kits for the RB25. There are plenty of turbos you can buy for $1200 in Australia that will bolt on. Talk to hypergear, they will get you 270rwkw from a hiflow turbo. I have a hiflow turbo with a larger rear housing and make 279rwkw with exhaust, injectors and Z32 afm.

Hypergear highflow.

Send him your turbo and tell him you want atleast 270rwkw.

Take your car to a tuner and get it retuned.

This is almost your only option.

+ injectors, exhaust, Z32 afm and a 3" metal intake :)

yeah thats seams pretty good any idea on how much it might cost? would it be better to get a new turbo hi flowed off them?

What do you mean by new turbo? They wont have stock of standard turbos so you will need to find one and send it to them if you dont want to have your car off the road while they hiflow your turbo.

highflow + injectors + fuel pump + fmic + nistune is the cheapest bang for buck in my opinion.

probably look about $1000-2000 for the turbo depending on who does the highflow and whether it is ball bearing or not, and all the rest would be a few k all up once tuned. Don't forget a clutch when you fry yours and new tyres and susp to put it to the ground, all adds up pretty quickly.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
