Hi folks,

I bought this R32 GT-R 3 weeks ago hoping it'll fill the void by replacing the R33 GTR I unfortunately stacked at DECA November last year. But this wasn't the case so I'm putting it up for sale.

It's 1993 BNR32 V-Spec (Brembo Brakes are standard on V-Spec) in Black, it is currently making 270rwkw @ 19psi.

It has the following modifications;

- R34 N1 Turbos with HKS actuators.

- Power FC.

- Nismo Front pipe.

- Apexi cat-delete (have 3" metal cat).

- Apexi N1 exhaust.

- HKS Boost Controller.

- Apexi pen Turbo Timer.

- Carbon N1 style bonnet lip.

- Floor mats.

- Nismo GT500 metal gear knob.

- 17x9 +20 Work Rezax Roar wheels with 235/40/17 Bridgestone Potenza tyres.

- Apexi Rev/Speed meter.

- Apexi pod filters (have Standard Airbox).

- Stewart Warner boost gauge on A pillar.

- Tein coilovers (have standard suspension).

- Whiteline Swaybars (fixed position).

The car isn't in good condition so if you're expecting it to be 'immaculate' you'd better look elsewhere.

So far I can see there are few faults with the GT-R these are the following;

- Alarm doesn't work.

- Power steering have minor leak.

- Paint on boot wing is faded.

- Driver side seat have torn on bolsters.

- Boot is covered with dynamat.

- Panel that sit behind rear seat and boot is missing.

- Paint on rear bumper have some flaking.

- Tyres have camber wear (may look into replacing them).

- Instrument cluster works whenever it wants to.

I think that's it for the moment, when I think of more, I'll update this thread. No pictures at this stage, I'll try to take some tomorrow.

The price I'll be asking is $15,000, however, I'm negotiable with the price providing you come and inspect the car in person. I won't be supplying Roadworthy Certificate, registeration is valid until March 2011 (will check tomorrow).

PM me or contact me by mobile on 0430 129 511 (It'd be lovely if you text me instead of calling which I'll ignore no ifs no buts about that). I'm located at Doncaster East (east suburbs of Melbourne, VIC).

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

Grant

p.s. If you don't have anything constructive to say or don't like the price, please keep it to yourself.

Just noticed, the GT badge is missing on LHS front 1/4 panel.

I may look into swaps of some sort.

Cheers

Grant

How far off roadworthy do you reckon it is?

From memory, tyres (just to be safe), windscreen wipers but will check it over to make sure.

I should know what's happening with my car by the end of the week.

Insurance assessor should drop by tomorrow and have a look.

If it's a total loss, which I'm prredicting, I will come take a look at your car, assuming you still have it.

    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
    • Neg, the top one is actually for the front. The sizes are 18x10.5 +18 and 18x11 +32.   I measured many times but I'm sure I'll have problems as this is the thread for problems.
    • Just one thing; tapping tapered threads is tricky. Taps are always tapered and you would generally run it as far as you can, but with a tapered thread you have to stop much sooner otherwise the wide part of the taper will run in too far and you will have to thread the sensor in too far too as well (possible that it will never make a good seal) BTW nice wide wheels, I guess the top one is for the back!
    • Welp, good to know. Will have to wait awhile until steady hands with drills and taps are available. In other news, these just arrived! I will weigh them for posterity. Edit: 11kg each (or 10.9/11.1 depending on what my scale decides over multiple tests, the 18x11 don't seem to weigh noticeably any more than 10.5)
