Just get a 6 or 12 month lease an apartment of your choice, lie to the realestate agent (they do that without blinking so here's a chance to get your own back), and as long as the place is fairly nice and you give them a fair bit of notice and say "my job now wants me to go back", when they find another suitable tenant you can move out. Like I said if its a nice place it will only take 2-3 weeks to find another tenant.

I had to do it once when they were just butts and wouldn't give a short-term lease to me.

pred does have the right idea tennancey laws are for the tennat not the owner. jsut tell them a month b4 you move out there are serviced apartments you can some times get for a fair price.

well if u still need a place i know a guy wants to move out of his current appartment but the other mate doesnt want to as the lease isnt up until june so if u wanna move in there for the time being im sure it would work out ok... has off street parking and is in camberwell area.
