That dash wouldn't be hard to replicate poit. I personally wouldn't give up my factory dash for that, but that's me. To make that in 1-1.6 mm ally sheet would be fairly easy, weekend job tops. Looks to be just satin black, few hole saw bits to match ur gauge sizes etc. looks NASCAR spec

yeah I think I should just tidy up my stock dash and leave it, take the heater core and AC out too, seeing as they're not hooked up...

I need to make some door cards more than anything!

I've been fooling around with the 33 and took some pics to share.

So I thought I had a pretty major problem when at symmons plains I was getting some SERIOUSLY bad vibe through the wheel\car when going faster than 90kph. I was like the f**k my car is going to fall apart.

I was pretty convinced that something was seriously a miss with the passenger side front suspension\bearings, something was not right. I pulled it all down and low to behold, it was all brand new, it wasn't till I was putting the wheel back on that I discovered the massive flat spot on the tyre -_- FAIL

Then I painted and fitted my new wheels, they're Rays SS7 18x9.5 +38 but to get them to fit I had to install a 15mm bolt on spacer as they fouled on the upper wishbone(?) when on full lock now it clears by about 1mm. They were gold but now they're Matte black, and I'm thinking of painting the lip red to match my lensos and break it up a little. The tyres are Dunlop D03Gs in a medium Compound, 245\40\18 for the front and 265\35\18 on the back.

I'm pretty sad about my Drift Teks getting so f**ked up after my little spill at Symmons :( Those rocks hurt!!

I also put in a passenger seat for the Charity Rides day in a few weeks :)

I also fitted some new brake pads, Hawk DTC-60 should pull the while whale up nicely :)

Hey Pete if you didn't already know its really easy to add a stripe to the wheels. You can either buy some red pin stripe or cut a pice out of vynal. It can just be a strait pice. As you put it on the wheel it will flex as such and turn a strait line into a curved line. So no need to paint it or cut out round stripes. I have done this neumerous times to wheels on a race car I used to look after.

    • I am well aware as I did rant at him to buy a MX5, buy the 2.5 before he DIY'ed it, etc as well as do things to the holden. He will obtain a ND. It's the best of both worlds. They look great in person, definitely the best looking one. Just a matter of time now.

    • ouch! how is the car now?I had sold my gtr but have been looking into some on trademe and a 260RS but I wouldnt be keen on any repairs needed on them
    • This sounds like someone who would have owned an R33 in their past... It's okay, I'm 100% picking up what you're putting down Mark.
    • Just back on what was raised about jacking off the the tow/tie down point on the front of cars. I've used it plenty. I've also watched it on a car where you could see it move the front end of the car. It was like the front end/whole car being tweaked and twisted a bit. I will say, I struggle to find good jacking points on MOST cars. The ones that have good points, I then normally struggle to find a jack tall enough to make the car change height!   One of my go to points for either the jack, or the axel stands though, is either a suspension pickup point, OR a subframe to chassis major bolting point. I actually think its the subframe on my R33 that has a bit of a bend in it, from being jacked in the middle too. However, it could have been one of my many other cars I've had over the years! Or it could also be the from me jacking it up, and the fact the top of the front radiator support isn't there, so it can allow the front of the car to move and bend etc.
