Hey all,

I'm looking at getting new wheels with the above specs, just wanted to know if anyone has photos of this or a similar setup.

Also how much guard work is needed for these to fit? Will most probably be using 235/40/18 tyres

Cheers

I've got 18x9.5 +35 on the rears and that sits flush. That is with 265 wide tires though. To run a +12 offset and those stretched tires, I think you might struggle. I think you'll need to roll guards and even then it will be a squeeze.

Thanks for the reply guys, very helpful there Sean :nyaanyaa:

I'm currently running 18x9+12 fronts and 18x10+22 rear, very minor scrub comes from the rear during a sharp turn, only coz my guards aren't rolled, though I will definitely be getting the guards rolled if I get the new set of wheels.

if anyone has some photos, that would helpful :)

i run 18x9.5 +8 on the rear of my 33 gtst track car.

now the catch.... i have a LOT of gaurd rolling lol.

Not running much camber though.

Using 265/40 tires and hasnt scrapped once that i know of.

i would probably struggle to hear the scrape but i have been inspecting the tyres often for the tell tale cuts along the ouside edge/corner and so far havnt found a single mark on the tyres.

there is no way 34gtt gaurds are gunna be less forgiving than 33gtst. they will most probably be the same or slightly wider yes??

check the r34 thread in photoprahy section of my car

18x9 +15 18x9.5 +12

Only found the VS KF on your car, unless those are the ones you're talking about? though it's 9.5+17. What tyres were you running with those?

    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
