The Tax man was king enough to give me a PHAT ANDY return (i finally got off my ass and did it)

So... what should i spent it on?

I've got around 4k to spend.

What should i do???... what should i buy ??

I've had my heart set on R34 GTR wheels for ever now. So i'll probably get a set since i've got the cash.

But that leaves me with around $1500 still to go.

WTF do i spend it on? help me out! lol!

There are a few options im thinking:

1) Brakes - my front custom set-up with a two piece rotor/slots/braided lines etc.

2) A Tomei Cam & 33 GTR seats

3) Better rubber (semi-comps) for my 32 gtr wheels

4) Put it towards a good 2-way locker

5) R31House vented bonnet

All the above come into the $1500 mark or close to it... so many choices, i just dunno what to choose damnit :)

Injectors/AFM etc... that's done (well its not but its already allocated)

So maybe cams it could be :)

I dunno about any other wheels. I just love R34 GTR rims.

I dunno why, but i reckon they look hot on an R31.

What wheels are on Leewah's again?

as stock 34 wheels have the right offset, but aftermarket wheels for GTR's my car is gonna struggle with fitting legally

If you are serious about doing some track work then Id get the brakes upgraded.

Ya dave/andrew.

That's where i am heading towards. My brakes are average.

But then... if i do what your doing and get sponsored, brakes might be part of it possibly.

Hhmm.. so many damned choices lol!

bonnet: bonnet makes the car look tough..

Seats: you sit in the car every day.. want something nice and comfortable. I'd probably go towards recaros, Brides or something over GTR seats (which are rocks).

I forget the R31 seats.. but if they are decent enough, get em retrimmed and reupholstered in leather or something if they are reasonable shape and you like them.

What about rollcage :) might need it.. lol

More ideas than i started with lol!

Roll-Cage i've thought about.

That will come later on i think. Not at present.

Lawyer - Typical of you. Might get your ones number :)

Rebuild - Yeah, i know it's coming. I'm fearing the day it does.

But the car will have a conservative tune to make it last.

I get approx 45k in 4-6 months for various reaons.

So the rebuild might come from what i have left over after buying a house :)

nope lol!

we actually start working on it tonight.

My mate has been busy doing a RWC for his mrs car.

She takes obvious precedence. So yeah. tonight we start.

Measure pipes etc. Get it TIG'd and not much more required.

coming from someone who has driven your car get those farkin front brakes fixed i know the rear is all sorted and now bigger turbo = better brakes

or just be LEB SPEC and put more neons on it Or a huge wing :)

bonnet hmm yummy :)

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
