Too true Devil but u have to consider others too. 50km/hr and my old skyline (1980 c210) feel like 120km/hr in my old supra and in a semi modded r33 u can up that by 50 more ks. So basically ure playing in a higher bracket the better car u get.

If you hit someone doing 50 its alot different from 150. Sure better brakes etc etc but accidents happen and ive been in ghost car incident before. God has a cloaking device and hes not afraid to use it.

At the end of the day i think that unless a person Attitude does not change (does not mature, or find the difference between right and wrong) nothing will change, like alot of things in life there is the good and bad people for all the good people this may make there life harder *if police target HP cars* but then again it should make it easier to catch the bad people and take them off our streets.

To me this new law is tring to do that

I like the idea, but tehn again if it will work or not is another story and we will see in the next few months

im gettin the feelin that most of us have the same opinion on this

this new laws not going to be the problem

its the fact that just like yellows and dangerous driving its left up to individual officers

having coped the usual cop v young bloke crap it scares me a little

ive got yellows and fines for sum pretty petty stuff (and sum i deserved)

i dont wanna lose the sky cause some cop thinks i took of to quick at the lites

It will be only when a 60 year old gets his/her 89 Camry impounded and goes on TT that something MAY be done.

As Colin Barnett said. It's a draconian law which, may increase the number of stolen cars and violence against police.

Why doesn't the public in WA have a voice against these wacked out ideas I'll never know!

All i gotta say is that now i'm always checking for the boys in blue.

I just wish the gov. would figure ways round the problems rather than coming up with stupid laws.

I would like to see a small dragstrip or track easily accsesible to the public..and nearby so tht if u see some1 wanting to try his stuff against urs u take it off the street and have a good clean/safe run.

Kwinana once a week is too far too little for me...

I don't know maybe there is one around and i don't even know about it?... is there!?

I think the laws are a knee-jerk, as a few other people said. I too, am scared that it's all upto "The coppers interpretation" of what hooning is.

I drive down a street at about 30km/h and just the BOV sounding quietly together with a loud exhaust is enough to get the onlookers yelling at me to slow down! It's all about perception, an older cop will think that someone is "hooning" before a younger cop will.

I've yet to meet a decent copper, however many times I try to be civil and show respect to them, I get reamed. Sorry boys, you've ruined it for yourselves!

I now take each and every infringement to court and play hardball with them, as they do to me. Tit for Tat, it's only fair.

The police have the power of autonomy in situations relating to infringements, whatever they say goes, and WE have to prove OUR innocence. That's not right, anywhere in the world.

It's a whole new can of worms being opened I see......

Kwinana is too far? meh, its not far at all, you want another small strip ? how about wannaroo? We get looked after pretty damn good as far as drag racing goes in perth any excuse for street racing that includes, there is no where to race, is just bullshit.

Maybe im just being old.

This is tough but fair legislation. It is the result of extensive consultation on the part of our Government through the establishment of an interagency working group to examine this issue.

translated: we got some angry residents, some old people and some grumpy traffic cops together, showed them videos of today tonight footage until they were frothing at the mouths, and then gave them a texta and a pad of butchers paper and let them wank on.....

what a ****ing joke.

I know I'm not far wrong. I have to run wankshops like these, and participate in them at my work. theyre a joke and theyre very dangerous.

people with no background knowledge, biased opinions and minimal education making broad sweeping generalisations, demanding theat they be given their chance to save the world and the worst part - at the end of it, when all that has been minuted is emotive claptrap, someone turns it into policy!?

the process is then made 100 times worse if there happens to be a local government politician in the room somewhere...... but that's a story for another day.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
