testing would be good. i will also have a look at my ariel connections but i used foil and tape to seperate the core and the netting.

Did you run power to the antenna? If you did not your antenna are not powered as they are designed to be. The standard set up only runs power to the antenna when the TV is selected. When you select the AUX input it turns the antenna power off.

ok so i realised i didnt understand what andy was saying with the power so i spent the afternoon pulling apart my boot again and running seperate power supply cables to the 2 factory clarion antenna boxes. This works a treat now so when the DVB-T unit is powered up so is the ariels. I also found out the when the Tv board is out of the Gold Casing that it works 100% better (Found this out due to testing when i had to solder the antenna IN back onto the board, totally my doing. IE- dont over tight the ring nuts on these sockets) So i just used double sided tape and put it on the inside of the rear quarterpanel near the original unit.

Commsman- Thank you for all your help with this install. Your information has been spot on and i thank you for that. Also do worry about sending the other unit for testing as i feel confident that i have got it to work as its ment to this time.

Is one of these the TV tuner?

I know one of them is the ECU :D

None of those. You are looking in the wrong end of the car.

TV tuner is behind the rear left panel in the boot. Just in front of the little storage box.

May I ask what aerials you guys are using for your digital TV's.... Ive got a digital tuner built into my head unit but the aerial its supplied with is a passive (un powered) jobby that doesnt really get very good reception while in motion or anything.

Any of the M35 Stagea's are using the Factory aerials in the back windows (4 in total) as they are powered and very effective.

The new Digital HD tV tuner from Leon come with a pair of powered aerials. See if you can persuade to sell you a pair of unused ones.

Hi Chris. The ones that come with these new tuners have F-type connectors & a wire for 12V to amplify the signal. They seem to work well.

Anyone with a Stagea who bought a tuner recently from me/Andy/Brad should have the aerials spare. If you can't find anyone nearby, I should have at least one spare pair which you can have if you pay post & packing (say $15) if that will help.

It seems that they work best with maximum separation. Since these are almost always used in non Stagea cars (V35's etc), most people stick one behind the passenger sun visor & the other on the back windscreen on drivers' side.

In your case you may want to try behind passenger visor and maybe run the other to the drivers side fixed window at the back (probably not the tailgate :glare: ). With dark tinting they would be hard to see from outside.

They have a sticky surface to hold them to glass which appears to be OK. No one has told me they had any problems. There is adhesive you can get if they lose their 'sticky' I suppose.

the connection in the back of my head unit only takes one antenna.... :S What would you suggest?

Could you put up a picture of the plug with a 5c piece for size comparison too :-)

I would suggest that one antenna won't pick up a TV signal very well, LOL

The connectors are F-type (you can google that) which means they have a screw in fitting. About the only other connector you commonly see is PAL (std TV type). There are adaptors to go from one to the other (I have some) but then space can become an issue behind the unit. Maybe a right angle adaptor could work tho....

Do you have a spare AV input (RCA connectors)? If so, if the single aerial doesn't work you could always go for a new digital tuner plugged into a spare AUX input :whistling: .

Can you play your iPhone through this tuner via the usb input?

I doubt it will work conveniently like that (mainly designed to play files using remote & file manager style inteface). However, the AV input (with RCA connectors) will work nicely using the right lead to connect to your device. And with some thought & a few relays you could run both reverse cam & Ipod/MP3 as inputs, or maybe a DVD player, PS3 etc etc.

But please post up what you find as there's heaps of variations I've not tried nor thought thru how they could work.

      Bit difficult to follow. Have a look below and see what the standard R32 layout was like. Note there was a restrictor in place immediately before "turbocharged pressure control solenoid" that, if removed, magically got you 1 bar boost.

      I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.

      Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?

      This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
